I am not his Judge, but u are delusional, and i say that in a loving way, truly shocked to read your comment, I came here because I heard he passed away and was checking his music out. For you to think great musicians are in heaven, that is only if they played to glorify God and get others to through their music. Jesus is the Judge who decides that, not you, hear are some of his words. Take them to heart, and those who sing and or play music that promotes the flesh and carnality instead of music that sets ones mind on the things of God will not make it to heaven. MT 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: MT 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. MT 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. MT 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? MT 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. MT 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: JN 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. JN 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. JN 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. HEB 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: HEB 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; HEB 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

The people who this matters to most in order to get to where they are now, (there on stage) isn't allowed anymore. The system will never have it again. It created too much destruction towards the government. Freedom & expression has led to the demise of America's leadership, it's values, and what it looks like to the world. The new age has begun. just like the last one, there's no turning back. Pop has it right now. GAY loves it. And GAY rules it. Nothing we can do about it now but watch it collapse. It's gone. Godspeed Eddie Money. The world will always have this beautiful song with it's masterful use of pedal tones to create tension and resolution like a beating heart.
This was a time when singers and bands were real musicians and had individual style and real talent. I saw Eddie Money and Heart perform together when I was in my 20s. Nothing today can compare to music back then.
@austinteutsch12 жыл бұрын
Absolutely the most perfect pop-rock song ever. Why? Because check out the chord changes where you feel love and rock at the same time. And the modulation over and over again throughout the song is pure honey. The Beatles wrote the book on this, but Eddie did a fine job on this song. Nothing like a Hammond B-3 pumping out those love chords. And the entire song is positive. It's a wrap!!
@Visionary000110 ай бұрын
Yes, very true! You are right about the chord progressions, the textures and colors of his voice, and his dynamic movements on stage. You can also hear a touch of 70's Soul in his delivery, especially on the radio edit of this song, with the background vocals included. Lastly, note how Huey Lewis did his best to duplicate Eddie's style, sound, and delivery a few years later, in the mid-1980's.

How cool is this; Young Steve Perry of "Journey", Introducing Eddie Money. As an African American female, these were some of the "Blue Eyed Soul Singers", I listened to in highscool, along with Phoebe Snow, Janis Joplin, Bobby Caldwell "What You Won't Do For Love" , Joe Cocker, Boz Scaggs "Low Down", Michael McDonald, Doobie Bros. , Kenny Loggins and so many others I know you can add to this list, please do. RIP Eddie. These artists taught me at a young age, that we as African Americans, who created the ONLY ORIGINAL music that came out of the United States, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and Rap [ Classical Music, which I played on violin and clarinet, originated in Europe ] , did not have exclusive rights in properly performing soul music.
