Honestly I felt sorry for Eddie while watching this movie but when he succeeds giving his country his all best I genuinely gave a huge smile. One really good underdog movie.

Except Eddie the Eagle is based on a true story. If you want to compare this to Cool Runnings, that makes sense because they are both based on true stories that occurred at the same Olympic Games, but Kingsman? Give me a break. The similarities you pointed out are minuscule.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I was bawling by the end of this trailer when I went to see Joy today in theaters. It was uncontrollable, I was trying so hard to be quiet as tears streamed down my face I almost suffocated.

It's based on a true story. You can't really spoil the plot for true stories. I knew the story before the trailer even came out because I watch the Winter Olympics.

+A-Man it says in both trailers that it is based on a true story (as the British trailer says) and inspired by true events (as this trailer says). Eddie the Eagle was an actual ski jumper that nobody believed in who believed in himself so much that despite much adversity, he made it to the Olympics as Britain's first ski jumper in Olympic competition, and when he got last place, it didn't matter because he far shown so much heart, charm, and indomitable spirit that everyone fell in love with him. That was in the 1988 Winter Olympic Games (same Olympics as the Jamaican bobsled team). And just so you know, Taron Egerton seems to capture the real Eddie's look and mannerisms perfectly.

+A-Man It shouldn't. I'll never comprehend the notion of people who think it's a spoiler to learn the actual history about a real person a movie is about. The purpose of movies like this is to inspire, not to surprise you plot wise and leave you wondering what happens next.
