The z06 engine is a masterpiece and it sounds awesome but the Eray is cool in its own way

C8 is the best car to come from GM in generations. Looking forward to seeing the upper echelons ZR-1 and Zora cars. At least one of them will push 1,000 hp this generation. Over 220+ mph exotic stuff

Eray for me….AWD, torque anytime, electric motor, sleeper on road( will destroy most cars on the street) wide body, 655HP and most of all it’s a street car all day long + optional track fun!! Sounds like the Swiss Army knife of the C8 line up- sign me up!!!🏎️

I much much prefer the Z06 center exhausts. Hat is good enough reason to get it over any other Vette.

Another Eray vote. I love the AWD. Corvette has long been missing that characteristic. Yes, I understand the RWD heritage of the car. But, the Corvette has been left in the dust with out AWD. Now with the mid engine and AWD. This is Awesome! Love the idea of AWD in the Vette. Love the sound of the V8 and the electric sound too. Honoring the future and the past all at the same time. Love it.

Key take away: Going from stealth mode to the V8 engine on, the engine is still starting from stone cold and warrants some care allowing it to warm up before pushing it.

Currently own a C7 GS, buying a C8 E-Ray, on the list for a C9 Z06. Can't see having more than one C8, no matter the power increase, it's STILL a C8. But a C7, C8, and C9--Yeah Baby 😎

Eddie - can you elaborate a bit more on the all-seasons and their grip? I know the 1.1 v 1.0 of the PS4S v all-seasons, and you mentioned a bit more understeer in the round-abouts. My Z07 is being built (literally as I type this) and I've already got a set of the all-seasons mounted on a second set of wheels. It gets chilly enough here in the winters that I'd be concerned about the PS4S tires cracking under use, which is why I went with the AS tires (they're also less expensive and last a lot longer). The Cup tires will be confined to track work while every-day driving will be on the AS tires. Think I'll be missing out a LOT? Or just a small amount?

Yeah Vette has always been expensive. People who complain about Vette pricing are just not familiar with Vettes.

I have the opportunity to get a ceramic grey z06 but I’m also number one on the list for an eray likely getting an early 2025 the question what one do I go for! I’ve wanted a z06 for the engine since it first showed its face to the world.

I love the idea of having an AWD C8 but I'm not sure how it'll hold up to heavy daily driving usage as an only car. I won't be interested in trading in the Stingray until well into the C9 generation anyway but it's great to see your comparison to the Z06 side by side.

Great review on living with the Eray. However, that electric "whine" would drive me crazy. Overall, other than when you are "pulling" it in short burst, I do not see the benefit. OK, all-wheel drive is good in bad weather, but how many Vette owners will drive their Eray in bad weather (snow, ice, heavy rain)?

Saw another KZfaqr put the draggy on this car and was consistently getting 2.7 to 60 while the PDR was reading 2.2

i think the ZR1 will have the ERay motor and Z06 engine. i think the Zora will be the ZR1 with a supercharger.

I currently have, going on eighteen years-old, 2006 Chevy, Corvette. She has been and continues to be a fun ride! sixty-six thousand miles and she still hauls & handles quite well! Still gives me pause to entertain the E-Ray because of that fact. That will be my choice when & if I pull the trigger. All wheel drive! For me, punching it into and out of corners! That's what sobers me up the most about my current. That rear end has broken free. For what it's worth, that 2025 E-Ray appears to be a pure kick in the pants!!

The E-Ray won't make it 3 years production without being discontinued. The worst idea GM ever dreamt up for the Vette. GM isn't making many and...they aren't selling well at all.

Difference between GM and Tesla, those new animations would be over the air update for Tesla. GM only offers them on a new model year purchase. That is why GM is so far behind. 🤷‍♂️

Looking for comments ? Well I have a Ferrari 360 flat plane crank engine . It screams . I also am blessed enough to have a Z51 C8 and just bought a2023 Z06 . While I love the engineering of the Z06 it’s going to a new home as soon as I sell it . If I was tracking it I’d keep it in a heartbeat. Great engineering. My next stop is the NCM track to try a Eray. Thanks for your review . Based on that I think the Eray will be for me.

0-60 real quick and then you have a boring heavy wide body Stingray. No car gives you the exhilaration the Z06 does. Way more fun winding out the gears. You feel like your one of the drivers in the Petit Le Mans. Comparing an Eray to a Z06 is like comparing a banana to a biscuit. Only on paper are they remotely similar.

I don’t understand the point of the video. It seems like you’re passive bragging. What is so hard to live with it’s a massed produced car? Put gas in it or charge it. It has 2 doors and a steering wheel use the wheel to steer and push the pedal to go faster then use the other pedal to stop the car. You can put stuff in the front or rear trunk.
