The incident at the press conference had no bearing on his exclusion from rehearsal. During the press conference, he covered his head with a flag to avoid looking at the Israeli contestant while she was being asked questions, then made a rude comment. The real reason he was not allowed to rehearse was because he got into a physical altercation with a Swedish cameraman.

Anyway she is truly amazing the song, her voice and the performance. Also the bravery with all the threats she can't leave her room and the local area. I won't lie, given the controversy. If she wins, eurovision genuinely might not continue after this year. The controversy would be that bad (not saying I want it, or not want it to happen. But if it does happen, that's what might happen)

@@randomkid4783Israel has hosted 4 previous times, most recently in Tel Aviv in 2019. There were minor clashes between Israel and Hamas/PIJ in the months proceeding the event, but it went on as planned. When they hosted in 98’ the political landscape was soooo different and it really looked like we’d get a two state solution out of it, even after YItzak Rabin was assassinated and Netanyahu rose to power. The event went on as planned. However, unless serious changes happen in the next year (aka Netanyahu is ousted, the war ends and viable peace talks resume), I do not see how Eurovision could possibly take place in Israel. Israel, Tel Aviv especially, is largely very safe, but I think many countries broadcasting stations would not be able to find a singer to represent them or just be unwilling to send anyone to a place that is like 50 miles from an active war zone. There’s no way any security guarantees could be made to participates and visitors if it were to draw a large crowd, because while Israel has incredible defense systems, they can and have been hit by rockets from a number of countries. Sorry for the long comment, but I’ve been wanting to discuss this with someone, even though I don’t think she will win lol.

Kariija was planning to come to Tel-Aviv last summer to preform with Noa Kirel (who represented Israel last year). He didnt eventually, because he wasnt offered enough money. so, indeed a man of moral and value.

I didnt hear anything about the incident you were talking about, but if its true that participant definitely crossed the line. Well, many people think it's risky to take part in this contest because there are so many anti-Israeli protesters who are against the participation of Israel and maybe they would try to do something to harm someone. They fail to understand that it's the protesters who might make things unsafe; not the participation of a singer who didn't do anything wrong besides representing her country.

Haha we meet again thanks to KZfaq algorithm :) I'm probably biased but I think it was the best song of the second semi final (I didn't watch the first one). I feel like this song - the sadness and the screaming represents how Israelis feel for the last 7 months. We are still broken. I know the world's attention shifted to the sufferings in Gaza and I understand it, I wouldn't dare to deny the suffering of innocent people in Gaza. But we are still broken. I don't think outsiders can understand it, what happened to us. And still happening, since the hostages are still there, and the rockets keep flying on us. It's all so horrible. I envy people in Europe who don't have to live through stuff like this, and judge from the comfort of their lives, having never heard sirens in their life. OK I digress. What a horrible time. Can feel your pain & anguish for what you suffered 7th October of which is obviously ongoing. I know about fear of sirens as I'm.from England & although a child bombs crashing & seeing our country being pulverised was pure heartache. Young people of today have no idea about war having had peace for generations...all the demonstrating is mainly not knowing history...if they did they would be more circumspect

I am only at the beginning, so not sure if you’re going to clear this up before the end, but he was not disqualified for that. He was abusive with a different journalist. And she filed a complaint with the police. someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s what I read from the official Eurovision statement to the best of my recollection. Thank you.
