We'll see about that, Jay seems to be edged out by big names and could need more experience before being ready. But also, Jay only lost to the winners of both trials which could make an argument for invitation that with more prep he could be competitive if not at least fun to watch.

I honestly believe that Mo being buddy buddy with New Wave, especially Gordon affected the judges in the Adam Bradley match. Mo is sleazy af in my opinion and I know from people that have worked with him that he has an insane temper. Craig criticizing the adcc pay probably pissed him off too. He's just soft in general. The guy blocked me on the adcc official account just because I called him out on something one time. He's like a non deadly version of the guy from foxcatcher 😂. Pays people to come train with him and then keeps talking about how he "is able to sweep them". Bro is way too out of shape with meh grappling skills to sweep literally anybody who competes/competed at adcc. Nobody stands up to him because he's the adcc organizer so they don't want to get on his bad side. I heard he got really mad at Stuart Cooper when he filmed stuff at adcc and made a sick video out of it BUT he didn't include anything about Mo himself in it. He's just a rich dude playing pretend with the best grapplers because he can afford it. He cares the most about everybody shouting him out

The conspiracy theorist in me makes me think Craig is ruffling Mo’s and/or ADCC’s owners feathers with all the grief about only paying $10K to athletes. The officials may have been told to not favor B-Team. Nicky Ryan got an invite because he’s friends with Mo. But who knows.

Refs do not get instructions to favor anyone, if that got out it would destroy adcc, too many refs are friends and training partners of competitors, there would be no way to keep it a secret.@@danielsiriphongs

NGL not sure how Nicky Rod thinks his passing is more technical than athletic haha. He's a fucking BEAST don't get me wrong, but most of his passing is explosive or strength based movements. Am I wrong here? Jay actually has some pretty technical moves imo. Only thing is I feel like maybe he taps a little too early to leg/footlocks? He'll let his arm break but that toe hold looked a little soft? Maybe due to training with Craig, since Craig is basically the ceiling on legs and it's always in the back of his head that someone can do what he does (not many people can do what Craig does though).

Flo gives a fair amount of attention and support to the Pedigo gym but who knows, All we do know is that it was a sweep and it was disappointing to see that opportunity taken from someone whether you like them or not. Maybe they need a review token to throw in like Freestyle? ESPECIALLY if its going to OT after that level of mistake.

I think Michael paisley should have won I didn’t hear commentators ask why he didn’t score but explain why he wasn’t scoring. And without the score paisley was way more dominant in the first part of the match. In overtime he wasn’t super agressive but Addams Bradley got a call for action and paisley flipped him trying to get a Darce and almost got mount and back at some point

Okay read the ADCC rules here: "Sweeps (ends Guard or Half Guard) = 2 points - (Sweep is considered when two athletes are facing each other, change the position from bottom to top and establish for 3 secs or more. You must not be in the threat of a submission). Clean Sweep (ends passed the guard) = 4 points - (When facing each other, change the position from bottom to top ending up outside guard, while more than 75% of opponent’s back is on the floor and establish for 3 secs or more. You must not be in the threat of a submission)." So you only get the 2 point "Sweep" if they end up in the bottom of a guard. Otherwise you have to move to a "Clean Sweep" where 75% of the back has to be flat on the mat. It is hard to say if Pixley actually had a continuous guard for 3 seconds. He certainly didn't have his back flat on the ground. I understand the controversy and it was a close call but don't dig on the ref.
