Fascism means the government has authority over everything. Speech, guns, religion, food, clothes, cars. If you believe in government taxing and regulating all of these things, by definition, you are the fascist. Democracy just means any system where some group of citizens vote for their government. I agree. People that hate on the basis of ethnicity, race, gender, disability miss the eff out! My very best friend was a black lady I sang with decades ago (different decade but not the last 2 or 3) who unfortunately died too young (a type of cancer.) I do not recall her mentioning her race or me to her about my Jewish heritage. We were more concerned about hitting the right notes. I recall her squeal with joy when we got it right! We just sang and danced together. Some things need a revival.
