I’ve been having trouble with the playback of my video so I thought I’d try this. Tho the proxies seem to be enabled, I do get an error saying “unable to draw path”, what does this mean? I still get insanely annoying lagging with the play back video…

What happened to the Preset dropdown menu with low medium high quality etc?? Need this today, thank you

Great question! That has been replaced by the half, quarter, and custom dropdown menu. We felt that the full/half/quarter/custom labeling was a clearer way to describe what the program did to your footage. In the last dropdown menu, "low quality" meant one-quarter of full-res, and "medium" meant half. I hope this makes sense! The function didn't change, the labels are just more specific. ^CS

OK thank you for prompt reply! I'm using half today and it's cutting the file size WAY down. I do have to say, I prefer seeing what specific resolution the proxies are going down to so I can tell a client. When I go to the proxy file info in Finder, no resolution is listed. Only file size. Most advanced users will prefer to see this number next to the half/quarter option. @@AdobeCare

We'll pass that feedback along! Right now, if you set it to Custom, you'll be able to see the resolution. That can help in the meantime. ^CS

I want to create proxies without creating a project in premiere pro, just using media encoder, but it still can't detect wether a video is vertical or landscape, so i still have to make 2 presets one for each aspect ratio. Please add the "half", "quarter" workflow when selecting the resolution in media encoder.
