So essentially pirating the product and using an outdated version that is not accessible from the suscription gives you a better experience than the regular customers. That's just sad.

The problem with Premiere Pro is not these little bugs, but the overall performance, and the reason is simply that the software is based on code that is over 10 years old and has only been briefly optimized over the years. Adobe MUST stop updating for 1 or 2 years to COMPLETELY review the Premiere Pro code. I prefer that to another cool AI addition on an unusable software...

Its not just bugs. Its basic things like using warp stabilizer and speedramps and speedramps and any position effects, masking etc. that bring the stress level to over 9000. And the things just get more complicated with nesting files - which doesnt always prove to work and often introduces black screens and other bugs. Also, for me one of the most frustrating things - why cant we duplicate or raneme (A) nested clip to (B) so we could change the nested clip without f***** up all other (A) nested clips in the timeline. Because nesting in premiere is obviously so important, it should work FLAWLESSLY

The "shutter angle anchor point bug" still existing in 2024 is borderline CRIMINAL...

The watermark lets you know at a glance if you're editing via proxy or original file. Yes there are other ways to see / tell. It's just helpful.

Shoutout to the time where i had to export my hour long video in 2 minute parts and still it kept crashing 50% of the time

I recently bought DaVinci Resolve because I'm fed up with adobe.

I have tried Davinci and like it, no more frequent crashes like Adobe. Will not go back to Premiere until they fixed it. Anyway, I love Davinci's interface, shortcuts and transitions. Maybe you will like it too.

Since 24.4 I can't scroll and move clips with it playing. I have to stop playback to do ANYTHING. try aligning audio when you can't shift the damn clip with it playing.

There is a bug when you try to scroll in the lumetri color it kinda frezzes the scroll and you have to wait before scrolling again. Super annoying so I just started using the sidebar scroll

My new bug is sending my export to media encoder. Keeps coming up with media offline but exports fine in premier. No idea tried everything everyone has mentioned to no avail. So i no longer use media encoder.

You still can move frame by frame by using the mousewheel, just you need to move with cursor to the area where is play button etc

How do you know adobe will see the video?

one bug that has not been fixed for years now is recording voice over to the timeline among many others. I'm seriously thinking of switching to davinci. I'm getting the impression that adobe is starting not to care about retaining its long standing customers.

Bugs 1. When you select text tool and type something like q or w it does not write it will use it as command 2. Premier pro automatically crash without any thing happened 3. Render speed just sucks We have i9 13th gen rtx 4090 with 128gb ram And it renders our video in 2 min With 5-6 media encoder crash And 8-10 windows crash 4. the circle effect can't even playable even after proxy

On 24.5 running Mac OS 13.6.7 I'm not able to reproduce the timeline scrolling bug. I wonder if this has to do with a setting you may have checked. Thinking about timeline scroll being set to something other than None perhaps? Not sure, but can't reproduce the issue either with ALT+middle mouse wheel or with zoom in/out shortcut keys. Timeline zooming acts normally for me.

Im having a lot of issues with syncing audio even though I know it should have no problem because lots of peaks and no clipping so whats happening--it wrecking my head

I love premiere but eventually tried davinci for a couple projects, slowly but surely it got easier. Came back to premiere after updating it, was so frustrated that they changed the basics of how masking or moving through the timeline used to work. It felt buggy, slower and just bad. Felt sad because I always vouched for premiere but now that I have used davinci I understand why people are switching. Davinci is just really well optimized specially for mac users. It does crash but it is really rare and it usually backups your projects flawlessly, and you know what? I just use the free version! Haven't paid a dime yet!

How can you switch back to 24.3?

the bug I'm facing right now is Premiere crashing constantly while working even if I have a good system and tried so many method but could not stop this from happening

I'm on PC PPro 24.5 and when I Alt+scroll in the timeline, Premiere zooms in where my mouse cursor is located, not where the Playhead is, which is fine by me, I usually use the keyboard shortcuts for zooming, so I rarely use the scroll wheel anyway

I have encoutnered a bug of some sort where it exports certain clips with "click to anaylse" blue ribbon for the warp stabiliser. On timeline inside premiere it doesn't show this ribbon, before exporting doesn't prompt you with warnings that there are clips that needs analysing, but on export it's there on multiple clips throughout the edit. It's getting embarrassing at this stage to use premiere for professional work.

Just updated Premiere to 24.5 and don't have any of these issues. Actually seems snappier than previous version. Zooming on timeline centers wherever cursor is placed.. so I dunno what's wrong with your version.

I had the same problem of Premiere not exporting (a less than 2 minute video) earlier this week. I tried all the usual "tricks" to get it to export (copy to new sequence, clear media cache, send sequence to Media Encoder, etc.), finally came down to me having to make both the render preview in the project settings AND the render in export settings set to software instead of hardware. Added an extra 45 minutes of render time, but finally got it.

3:15 My zoom function works just like it always has..... BUT..... I have always set up a button on my MX3 mouse for zooming in. I confirmed that it still zooms into where your playhead is.

After last bugs I finally switched to resolve it much better IDK why I was so hesitant!

I also noticed that when you zoom on the playback with the scroll wheel there isn't anymore the border bars to move in the frame like up or down, I always have to fit the scale and zoom on the interested part with the scroll wheel, also the drag feature pressing the wheel button on the mouse (like in AE) is not working for me. Bonus tip: if you have the mx master 3 a workaround for the scroll wheel to move in the frame forward or backward is to use the side scroll wheel as left arrow key and right arrow key, if you're not using it for other things yet

Got a weird bug on using dynamic link losing the audio that was on the after effects comp. Turns out if the audio is on the first layer, it won't read on premiere. Another bug is using Lumetri on After Effects. Sometimes it distorts the footage when using it... I think on 4k footage it squishes the y axis to fit the comp, but not the x axis

"its painful to see it going downhill". So true. Ive had your problems and some of mine. PPro gets worse with each update. Timeline track sizes and colors. Constantly resetting workspace and on and on and on. Audio drop outs but cursor keeps playing. And the annual cost? Im currently learning Resolve.

FYI: You can still use the scroll wheel to move a frame forward or backward by first hovering on the Program timeline. That's it. I got used to it quickly, and it is worth it to get the zoom feature.

The bug im experiencing is my timeline goes non responsive after 2 mins of editing time. The audio will cut out right before it freezes and goes non responsive.

How do I report this bugs to adobe?

The ctrl/alt + scroll ( to zoom) option works with mouse cursor position and not playhead position.

The biggest hang up I have had with Resolve is Fusion. It’s Byzantine and no matter how many tutorials I watch on it, I can’t seem to grasp it. Titles and graphics in Resolve still need work. Color grading in Resolve is so superior and it’s nice to have all your tools (audio, FX and export) at the ready instead of launching a second app.

The biggest bug I found is Adobe.

I personally had more issues with the new Lightroom update crashing things.

I will be really happy to see some kind of basic tracking in the premiere, like the one DaVinci or Final Cut. And roto masking will also be awesome. Since DaVinci and FinaCut have had them for ages, it's time to implement those in the premiere too. It's really annoying when you have to open another program just for a simple tracking.

The zoom issue its not a random zoom, it zooms where you mouse cursor is, just put the cursor where you want to zoom, at least its how its working on my computer with 24.5

You guys should just make a Resolve channel considering how many times you have click baited Resolve users into fighting with pp in the comments at this point 🤣🤣.

I actually love the proxy icon because it's so easy to see when I'm in an actual proxy. Sometimes it is hard to tell, even though the proxy is activated. I hear ya on the timeline zoom in fail. That's lame. Thanks for the video.

Proxy icons are helpful in visually informing the editor that their proxies are either turned on or off. I typically use high-rez proxies, so it's sometimes difficult to tell the difference when editing.

One of the bugs that irritates me the most is when I export while using duel monitors either within premiere or media encoder premiere doesn't return to the dual monitor workspace I have saved it defaults to only one monitor. Some times it works but I'd say 85% of the time it does not. My workaround used to be to have duplicate workspaces saved so after each export I needed to select a different workspace to return back to dual monitors. Now I have a separate single monitor hook export workspace that extends the entire height of my monitor enabling me to see all my hooks and quickly send to ME. If I was only exporting one video at a time in a project this wouldn't bother me but everyday I'm exporting multiple versions of the same video with say 10 or so different hooks for my clients to test. As you can imagine constantly switching workspaces just to send all the different hook variations to media encoder gets very tedious and time consuming. Please please please adobe fix this bug. I do love all the new bells and whistles and see you are trying hard to be a leading force but fixing little bugs like this would help a lot and save so much time for us editors using your software for everyday work.

I seriously miss stepping back and forth with the scroll wheel! I hardly ever need to zoom in and out, but I need to make fine adjustments to edit points all day. It would be awesome to be able to do it in the way I’m familiar with, without having to drop my mouse and go to the keyboard.

I haven't had any issues with Premiere for as long as I can remember (Yes I update every time they release a new version). Not sure why it's such a different experience user to user 🥺

The BUG I have since the release of 24.0 is I cannot edit and then export GoPro 11 footage. What I can do is load all the clips into Premiere and export the entire batch of clips to H.264 files, and then edit with those. But any time I try to export a GoPro 11 video with a single cut, crash to desktop. Spent 3 hours with Adobe support, they finally agreed it was a problem on their end and would be sending the issue to their engineers. That was the 24.0 release, still not working with 24.5.

I am guessing that day is soo near when videos of premier basic are going to be edited on Davinci Resolve

i've been doing this long enough to know they'll never listen and never fix bugs because what are we going to do, switch to resolve and find a photoshop alternative?

AFAIK zooming in on the playhead on timeline is just a settings that you can enable... so you might want to check that first... and secondly using scroll wheel for moving frame by frame is still possible you just have to hover your mouse over the time bar that's beneath the video preview... soo yeah.

You know what glitch I'm really tired of and hasn't been fixed? When I adjust the audio levels with my mouse on the timeline, sometimes the mouse just...disappears. And its forever disappeared from premiere ONLY. Desktop, other apps...anything will still see the mouse, but not in Premiere. The only way to fix this is to save, quit and reopen the program. I REALLY wish they'd fix this, it's been an issue for as long as I've been using it and that's about 4 years now. REALLY tired of it

The timeline scroll is actually still there, instead of Ctrl, you have to hold Alt key in Windows. 🙃

I updated for a short time to use the "editing with the text" and that was cool but it is not as good as Gling. It came with other problems like you mentioned so I rolled back. I installed Davinci and i am now like that guy in the meme walking with his gf (Pr) but staring back at the passing girl (Davinci)

I’ve been doing a lot of bulk exports for ads recently and that’s crash 95 percent of the time so I just export hundreds of timelines one. At. A. Time.

Yeah I did the update and I think it's about 20% harder to edit on the platform have trouble with the scroll wheel on the mouse I keep zooming into the image and then have to put fit to screen and I think they took a step backwards.☕️🇺🇸

The problem with the zoom in timeline isn't a problem: you actually zoom in where the cursor is, not the head. If you look in the video, you zoom both time where the cursor is.

Proxies are used for clients and watermarks are there to let the client know that this is still a work in progress and unpaid. Once the client has paid the bills the watermark comes off.

I would fall over backwards if Adobe took a page from Reaper's amount of customizability, but that would likely require a code rewrite which is what we need more than anything anyway. The latest bug I ran into just yesterday was that the 'link media' window would completely freeze up IF it ran into a video that PR couldn't import (my fault, I had an incomplete downloaded file that PR couldn't read) but instead of skipping it or flagging it, PR just hung up requiring good ol' task manager to force close. The fact that I have to troubleshoot this program on the regular is discouraging, yet, I still can't make the leap to Resolve.
