Editing a landscape with LUMINOSITY MASKING

In this video, I demonstrate how to use luminosity masking to edit a photo by using the color range tool to select the highlights and shadows in the image. I show how to use the sliders to make selections and how to adjust the brightness and contrast of the selected areas using the curves adjustment. I also demonstrate how to intensify color and add selective edits with adjustment layers. Then, I finish the edit with dodging and burning and a vignette.

Fantastic lesson! I only knew luminosity masking by channel selection and this is the first time I learned it can be done via colour selection..cool! Learned a new editing method. Thanks.

That panel looks really neat! I usually either do everything manually or create my own actions, but TK8 seems to have some really nice features in it.
