Condolences, but info is quite strange. Officer respond to noice complaint, drive into a concrete obstacle and dies. Sounds like he drove to fast and lost control for the road conditions. No need to make a noise complaint a priority. No other vehicles involved, but they try to make out if he is this hero now. Just wondering why they would completely cover up the cruiser while on the tow truck.

Exactly. Reporting to a noise complaint and hitting a barrier does not a story make. Not great journalism. Who-What-When-Where, but no WHY or HOW.?

ANYone who puts on a uniform each day to protect the pubic are hero's . Usually when someone dies in an accident the vehicle is covered out of respect & that is done for everyone ..... Zoe , NS

@@stephenhatt742 As a uniformed public servant, simply signing up does not make you a hero, that mindset is dangerous and discourages evidence based fact finding. Nobody can dispute a death is tragic, though it is our duty and the public's right to discover the reason for such an incident. Only through full disclosure and transparency can we fulfill our mandate and develop public trust.

Yes odd. Highway incidents like this are sometimes linked to self deletion. Either way, the loss is now becoming felt by those who loved him

WHY, A HIGH SPEED RES-PONCE WAS REQUIRED, IS MY QUESTION

The guy was obviously on his computer and not watching the road if that was one of us and we survived we would be charged with multiple offences our insurance would skyrocket and nothing would be said but this is what you call propaganda there’s no way he could possibly have ran into that cement barrier if his eyes were on the road bottom line I feel bad I do not applaud his death but as you said he was probably going at a high rate of speed and was a kid with little experience driving My condolences

Why was he travelling at that speed for a noise complaint?

Harvinder was a great friend. I had known him for 18 years. He was such a great friendly guy and would always let people feel welcome. He had that sort of personality that he'd make someone who has no business being wanted actually feel wanted and accepted. He was always willing to listen eventhough he may not have cared for the topic. While my contact with him kind of dwindled the past 5 years cause of my stupid mental health, I was always happy to see him find love and success in his endeavors. It made me happy that the stuff we used to talk and hope for as kids he was actually achieving in real life. What happened is tragic, and I feel so bad. How can someone like him be taken away so soon? Perhaps he was an angel sent to spread positivity and love. Or he was just an example of how humans should act. I do know one thing, he was my friend, and one that I will miss, but I will always look back on the memories. Rest in peace my friend.

How does this happen? What speed must you be traveling to loose control of your vehicle with no one else involved? Why did this call require a response at that speed?

I never knew the gentleman, I just randomly came across this video, and this just chocked me up and tears just start dripping. This man had his entire life ahead of himself, and just in a blink of an eye it just ended abruptly. My condolences and prayers are with him and his family members. I am very humbled to see how the RCMP team has acknowledged and honoured his life achievements. I have utmost respect and unlimited gratitude for all civil workers 🫡 that put their life at risk so that we can sleep peacefully at night. Thank you for everything Amandeep Singh Edmonton AB Thank you 🙏🏼

I would say that police officers must be aware of the dangers in responding to a situation like this and they must be able to handle it carefully in order to avoid any potential danger to themselves and others. Any ways, we salute all our officers for their courage and commitment to their duty, specially those who have sacrificed their lives for us.

It’s very sad that this officer died but all evidence points to him clearly texting while driving !! If this was me or you and we survived we would be charged with multiple offences like careless driving on an on multiple charges I find it hypocritical that no one seems to point this out . Don’t get me wrong any loss of life is horrible and I respect 100% what these people do BUT We all know they have a computer right beside them fortunately cars are getting better with lane assist and in the future this won’t happen when somebody is not looking at the road while they’re driving!! My condolences to his family

Died responding to a noise complaint??? Perhaps we need to scrutinize how the police respond to calls. Was it appropriate that he lost his life for a noise complaint? I don't think so.

It was night time on a gravel road with no signs of being the end of the road or indicating there was a "barrier". There were no lights whatsoever.... It was pitch black and there were no reflecting signs at all. The concrete block was located at the end of the gravel road where the road became a hill with an about 60 degree slope making it invisible to the human eye at a distance. By the time anyone would see the fence which was standing over the concrete barrier located in the middle of the road it was about 30 feet away and your vehicle would eb already in the air as would have lost friction with the ground because of the steep slope. This made it impossible for anyone to stop without knowing what was coming... Let alone when you are responding to a call for help from an officer struggling with 2 people.. There used to an end of the road sign there before the crash but somehow it had been taken down and had not been replaced.

They respond to noise complaints at full speed but yet when thieves are stealing from a rural property they just say file a complaint in the morning. I have lost any respect for the police in Canada.
