We're planning to buy a single house but are hesitant because of interest rates.Where can we get lower interest rates? aside from these big banks?

How much house price increased now in edmonton compare to 6 months before .. for example if a house price is $439000 how much it was 6 months before ?

Hi Ni! Our average price 6 months ago was $460,000. Our average price today is $418,000 :)

I appreciate the post, it’s hard to find real up to day Edmonton focused housing information! Planning to buy in the next 12 months but don’t want to miss the opportunity to buy at a reasonable price. More narrative on how rate hikes are effecting real sellers / buyers would be a nice thing to comment on.

Better buy cash this is not a local problem, its a nation wide problem and ALLL will be badly affected. Remember these words "the houses will go as low as $50,000 when the collapse comes. Edmonton is safer because the prices are not drastic but the bank will request full payment they will give you 90 days and if u dont pay u will loose the house!!!! Even if ur mortage is in good standing , they will request full payment in a short notice. If you read the mortgage documents you will see there is a law in it that states they can request full payment

We will be looking in to buy in summer 2023 outside of Edmonton. Looking for best price of course,we are retired and our money is important to us. Do you think we should wait?
