Its not like Pickard has to come in an play 'lights out'. He just needs to deliver a .900 save % or close to it and that will be a significant upgrade over Skinner and likely enough to win the series. Campbell has very good playoff numbers and I would not mind seeing him dress as Pickard's back up either.

Oilers would be up 3-0 if they had average goaltending in this series. Skinner should not be in net for game 4.

What I've seen from this series is that neither the Oilers or the Canucks are good enough to win the cup this year.

They need to match the physicality of the Nucks. They got bullied from puck drop through final whistle. Get Carrick in there, create "the spine" and run: Holloway - McDavid - Hyman McLeod - Draisaitl - Kane Henrique* - Nugent-Hopkins - Foegle Janmark - Carrick - Perry (this line would create havoc and scrums) If Henrique can't go, go L3 of Foegle-Nugent-Hopkins-Gagner/Ryan L4 is that regardless. Coach time to make some changes. You need to put in Ernie and Carrick who can play physical, and maybe even Lavoie, a big body who can score! . Perry is too slow and has brought "nothing" to the party,. Perry and Ryan need to sit! Time for Skinner to sit, give Picard an opportunity, he;s quite capable. Make Kane play with Mcd and Hyman. Play Drai with Holloway and Mcleod, he needs their speed, worked before!

I would never keep ryan mcleod in the lineup all he does is skate back and forth and give the puck away in the o zone .. doesnt backcheck and can rarely finish on scoring chances.

This is like a bit of a repeat of the beginning of the season when they played well and hit many posts but did not get the bounces and goaltending that did not step up at the time to get them through the struggle. Skinner has to play better than his best playing during the regular season but he doesn't seem to have it in him (or at this point in his development) to elevate his game to the level needed for winning in the playoffs.

Right now we are a 5 man team - 28/44 shots came from the top line and top d pair. On top of hitting posts, Silovs outperforming Stu, no depth scoring and a lack of penalty calls is the difference. It could easily be 3-0 if the Oilers didnt blow game 1 and buried easy breakaways instead of hitting posts but alas here we are and no guarantee the same issues that have haunted us this series dont continue. Depth needs to wake up and Nurse-Ceci have to stop being our Achillies heel for the 3rd year in a row

Connor instigated an after the Whistle physical engagement behind the net to fire up and inspire and to lead his Teammates into battle --- par for the course hockey play-- Mcdaivd 2-Handed an Opponent to show his fire --par for the course hockey play-- and in response that opponent threw a horizontally projected crosscheck to the CHEST making Connor leap and lean back fast--par for the course hockey play-- unfortunately before the retaliatory crosscheck to the CHEST of mcdavid could impact a Vancouver Support Player who had just witnesses the 2-Handed after the whistle attack on his Teammate responded with a retaliatory crosscheck to the back--par for the course hockey play--- that impacted prior to Souceys reply and buckled Mcdavids legs faster than normal combined with his prior lean back and these actions in concert brought Connors head DOWN TO CHEST LEVEL where he was incidentally raked by Souceys crosscheck. So really all we saw were par for the course hockey plays that together @ a bad time created poor optics that mislead us until we break them down honestly like this. I want Kris to break down the whole game for me the way I just showed because I believe that what happened to Connor is a microcosm of the Team current challenges across the Board. WHat I want Kris to take out of this post is that Connor just did what true Leaders do and there were no supports near him to react fast enough to support and protect him...no one was there physically to have his back....Connor was all by himself manifesting the moment and failed because he was alone and maybe the Oilers System has similar dynamic issues if we look close enough.
