Hi. I believe purple tint is the lack of infrared filter. Not sure of reasoning behind this though, possibly better low light capabilities.

Does this still buzz every minute. This feature did not turn off regardless of what you set it to in the app.

Hi. Thanks. Agreed, it is a bit pricey. Mind you if you want to use it for cycling, security work or similar cases the battery life is amazing. Video quality is not great but the battery lasts much longer than most action cameras.

but sadly the recording can have a lawsuit created in an office without public disclosure and premission if not you office policy.

Most people don't get reported if they're honestly not doing something.... And you can't illegally just record people. Maybe some self reflection is needed

Yes the manufacturer website advertises 12 hour battery life and up to 16 hours recording storage

This is a little late but you can sync the time through your PC or smartphone with the PC software or smartphone app.

Hi. Battery lasts probably 3 hours but I would say by that time you would be close to filling it up with footage. I think you need to check their newer cameras that might suit you more.

Hi. This particular model has a clip that is strong enough to use it on motorcycle backpack going over 100kmh in windy weather. It is very strong. My problem with thin vest over shoulder would be that the weight of the camera might twist it as it simply might not be strong enough (the clothing) to hold it still and straight. So if you can use chest pocket or other thicker part. Video quality is good enough for security use day or night. It is also robust and holds well in dust and rain. SD card is internal, non replaceable on this model. For safety of the card and I guess overall anti tamper reasons. Now as for battery this model lasts around 4 hours but will not last all day. For this I have seen other models with additional power bank connected as a part of a pack. My one charges via very unusual connector that looks like headphone 3.5mm jack. It is very robust. USB C might be convenient but it is not rated for heavy use and breaks easily. Hope this helps. Stay safe.

Up to 12h. Possibly in silent mode, stand by only, not constantly recording etc. Battery life is very good on this model, even after years of usage. But it's not magic so no, constantly recording not 12h for sure. More like 3-4.

Yep, you can run it silent - vibration only is handy.

Hi. As this is not intended for this use and audio is more of an extra than given there is no such feature. You can however use external audio recorder if needed and sync in post.

I have the drive pro 10- It picks up the audio very well, I am very happy with the transcend product- an di assume with this one being the drive pro 20- it will and should be better than the drive pro 10- I feel this guy knows too much of this stuff- This is high grade Law enforcement Material- has wide spread video- so it captures everything in your view- and the audio is great.... Just don't hide it under your shirt if you want to record a conversation- when the built in MIC rubs against the shirt on the inside its too loud.. and ruins the conversation recording- i know this from experience :) - Hope this helped out-

I use it on bike in the rain - all good so far, years after daily use. So yes, it holds well in the rain. As for under water - don't try that, I doubt the charging port is properly sealed.

@@Edsdrafts I did and they were pretty useless. The hitch is the microphone on my bodycam seems to be turned off. The only way I can change the settings is through the toolbox, which won't work for me.

I change all of my settings on the phone app, works fine every time.

It should, I play mine on VideoLAN app on PC or directly on TV.

Because the only item that's supposed to be in focus is in focus :) Also all controls are manual so no focus hunting throughout the video.

Hi. Have a look what's the latest on Transcend website. Windows and MAC uses different install files so unless they made one for Mac specifically it won't work. There are some Macs that can run Windows or you could try a VM.

@@Edsdrafts thanks..I see that the Wifi function works with iOS and offers some basic settings.

You would need to check if you can Transcend app from the app store. If so - you should be all set.

@@Edsdrafts I downloaded the app..so hats good. I guess I would still need access to windows for settings. The app has limited settings. I like the model with the separate camera that you can clip on to your jacket.

Look into virtual machine for your mac if it can be done. Or see if you can get this done on friend's PC.
