Welcome to my channel! Everyday here in Japan I'm finding treasures and adding them to my collection. Here's Ep.145: I found myself a big old bottle of classic Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne. I compare this oldie to my modern bottle and talk about what I noticed.

I wish someone would bring back the original formula. Been using it since the 80s. Women love it.

An important observation for summer: Spray this twice under your shirt, on your chest. The powdery note and heavy patchouli note will dissipate fast (half an hour) and the ylang-ylang will come out much stronger. This makes Paul Sebastian smell like citrus will a tinge of syrup and musk. Very good and not cloying using this method.

That paul sebastian last allday i layer it with golden sands fragrance oil. The sillage and sent trail is off the hook. I have gotten soooo many compliments

The bottle with the black PS is one of the earliest, 79-80's, made in France. The "modern" with a New Jersey label on the bottom came after the made in France. Elizabeth Arden came after that then EA Fragrance Co. There is also a version: French Fragrances from Miami. I'm not sure if this came before or after the New Jersey label.

That's the fragrance I go through the most as well - bedtime fragrance. I swim a lot and after swimming and before bed I wear Eau de Cologne Imperiale by Guerlain. It's a bitter citrus (lots of citrus and Neroli) and I like that shot of citrus after exercise and before bed. Damn, you ALSO have a very old bottle of Obsession with the brown plastic cap.

I have a 2 ounce splash bottle with black lettering on the front that has a ocean New Jersey sticker on the bottom would anybody be able to tell me more or less what years this would be from?

P.S vintage very good that obsession is not the first version which is much better, but still good, Lagerfeld is also a later version

I found this one at Walmart today on clearance for $8 for the 4 oz/120 ml. I think I saw two of them and I picked up one. I should have gotten both. Maybe the second one will still be there tomorrow 🤣

$8 for the 4.2 bottle of this? That's like 60% off the price on discounters. Good thing you got one, I would have bought both and kept the extra one to give away or use if it ever came to that.

I use to wear the PS colone in the mid '80s. My wife bought be a bottle recently and it smells nothing like I remember. It's terrible imo, smell like a women's perfume. The old stuff was great and had a unique smell.

Does anyone know what year it was reformulated? I want to get my husband some and I want to make certain I get him the one I loved from back in the late 90’s .

I can't tell you the year, but the bottle should look like this one. With the PS logo in black print on the bottle.
