@@LilyOgini come next year and God willing, My year group (MOGA 2000) will complete the ultra modern ICT library with a capacity of 1000 students and we will be the host of next year's Speech and prize giving day as well. This project has been a 5 year project from the 1996,1997, 1998 , 1999 , and 2000 year groups. The old girls are doing so well by giving back.

Secondary schooling in Ghana; indeed it's the secret behind Ghana education that makes other Africans wonder. I was in Liberia 1976, my form 4 teacher with Cert "A" from Ghana came and got teaching job. Lo and behold Liberian then never heard of Cert A. They knew only Teacher's Certificate not Cert A. They wrote to Ghana Embassy for clarification of the "A" status. Then after he was reappointed college principal. And it took Liberia min of education 8 months to fix him into appropriate salary structure.

When I completed JHS my classmates got Mfantsemans girls and her mom just sells at the market yet she went to the school. After high school, she got the opportunityti to study at Ahyesi University. Am always happy when even we the poor can access quality education. Guess what Ahyesi University is very expensive and one of the best in Ghana

@@LilyOgini I last time watched video you collaborated with a lady, and in the video u said, in Ghana we consider a Secondary school person as educated/ as graduate whereas in Nigeria a secondary school graduate is considered illiterate, u only consider the person who have graduated university as educated. But I think Nigerians are getting it wrong, an illiterates is a person who can't read write, can't express himself well in english and not knowledgeable. But any person who have not or never been to a classroom before but have taught himself or herself, can read, write and would understand contracts written or verbaly, knows of current Affairs or issues, eloquent in expressing himself in english is not consided illiterate or uneducated. Education is about self taught even if u are taught in school and still don't study u will not know. So u teach yourself. In America they have what they call: home school, the parent will choose to get someone to teach their children without them stepping a foot in school before. They only have to register for the exams write and get their certificates. So a secondary school graduate is educated, and not illiterate, because he has had a form of education in his or her prime years, But has not the same level with a University graduate. Unless he or she is blockheads, can't read write can't express himself well in English then u know he lost his Educational rights and now can be consider uneducated. So a self taught educated person, secondary school graduate and University graduate have all form of education. But the Uni graduate has a higher form of education and the rest have primary or second level education. So take not to know the difference between educated and uneducated.

Years ago, my now ex-husband was an auditor employed by an accounting firm in Lagos. The CEO found that he was always sending my ex to clients to fix work that his Nigerian trained staff did so one day he called my ex to his office to find out how they were trained in Ghana 🇬🇭 my ex found their conversation so surprising and interesting that he shared it with me on his return home. For over the years, we paid tuition/ school fees, and it became free school fees when the current president took over the presidential seat almist 8 years ago...for all senior high schools...l But the northern parts of Ghana 🇬🇭 has been free education since b4 independence purposely started with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to encourage the northerners to go to educate themselves because the northern part was kniwn to not like education as serious (back in the days) as the other parts of regions of Ghana were...
