Thanks for sharing detailed information. We shall arrive in Athlone around June/July 2023, my daughter shall be 9yrs and 5months and she would be in 5th class in India. Will she be allowed to join class 5 in Athlone primary schools?

It’s depends upon your child knowledge. Schools check the kids knowledge then they will decide the class.

Hi Pravin, session start at September in Ireland so they calculate age accordingly. Usually primary school start at the age of 5. Your child can be in 3rd or 4th class as per the date of birth.

Session start in September and usually the school time is from 9am to 1pm or 3 pm.

@@tauqeerahmad1554 school start time is in between 8.30-9.30am depends upon school. And end time is accordingly. Usually the schedule duration is 5hr and 40 min.

In general your son should be 12 year for secondary but you can check with schools as some allow in early age as well.

No such rules for hairs, not the key locker but a separate place for individual, no pressure and we haven’t face any racism
