It is always English i all Catholic and National schools, Irish is the primary language only in Irish schools.

The rent alone should be around 1800 to 2500 Euros depending upon the location. The groceries can be around 400 Euros. Dublin is costly but the salaries will be higher as well. If you could give me the domain and expertise he is working on, I can suggest the right salary for Dublin. 3.5K is too low for Dublin. You can survive but cannot save anything.

is the medical card not free if the income is more than 30000?

yes. you can use medical cards for the GP visits and medicines. Also, all the children below 7 gets the medical card free.

Congratulations. Yes. You can get the admission in middle of the term if the school has places. Try approach all the schools nearby there.
