I used to think this movie was a little bit too dramatic but now I’ve been in the EXACT same shoes as Jake, minus the shapeshifting, everything is spot on. Even when Bella got depressed in the 2nd movie when Edward left. It’s all true and spot on.

This situation has always pissed me off. Everyone says something, but no one asks about what Bella wants or how she feels. They don't even bother to learn. It's crap, okay, but that's what she wants. She wants to have her baby, it's her decision. Also, Edward asks Jacob to make a more infamous proposition in the book. They cut it in the movie. It's good too.

@@kameronmichaels1275 To be fair when I was younger, I understood why Edward made that request. He was faced with possibility of losing Bella forever and would do absolutely anything to prevent it, including the most hideous crimes. To Edward only Bella's life mattered. Even if she hated him afterwards, at least she'd be alive. To him this was only logical. But I'm far older now and I understand Bella well. Now I would back her up all the way, no questions asked. She's a woman and she can literally FEEL her baby moving. Even if it's painful, even it it's killing her - that baby is a part of her. That's something a man can never truly understand. But we do learn to respect that when we get older. And Edward may seem old as far as time is concerned - but he never was forced to put himself in a position of potentially being a father. And that's something you have to grow up to. He just didn't. It's that simple. But to be fair he changes his mind in the books when he has opportunity to connect with his daughter for the first time by reading her thoughts.

If you read the book Midnight Sun (it’s twilight, but from edward’s perspective). It shares the history of the Cullen’s and how they got turned. You really do learn more about edward’s family in that book. And Edward in general.

Because she was indeed selfish. She was in it for the baby. The moment renesmee was born, she came, took the baby, and left all the while bella was lying dead on the table. Not even bothering to glance at her once. Even while operating on her she never showed any sort of concern for bella's life, as she only wanted to cut her belly because the baby was suffocating. While others genuinely showed concern towards bella all Rosalie said throughout the entirety of the movie was "its a baby" "just a baby" So yeah, she was indeed just happy about the baby. I don't like bella at all, but saying that she was protecting bella is like reaching it. She was protecting the baby, because she knew bella won't make it out alive, so the baby would be completely hers to raise

Bella was human at the time but it's killing her because her baby was a half vampire/half human. Bella was dying so Edward turned her with lots of bites and it turned out being good for the baby as well since the baby was half vampire.

He literally just said if her heart fails then it wouldn't work but she was already dead, he could just do chest compressions for her to act as her heart beating the venom around her body lol always thought that was definitely a big loop hole

I mean I think it's a tad bit more complicated than that. Once the heart stops, it becomes a lot lot harder to circulate blood and such. Compressions help for sure but you'd have to keep that up consistently. I guess when it comes to the supernatural it equally gets a bit more challenging haha

Ya know, most of the time when a character is written, even if they're a bad character they had redeeming qualities, or something that makes them likable. Bella is just straight up not a great person, incompetent and consistently annoying. I understand they're high school aged in the first couple movies, but DAMN is she dumb and useless until she's turned. Why were two different guys fawning over her? At least Edward had a biological excuse, explained in the forest in the first movie. But why Jacob? Because she was Renesmee's mother so he was feeling some kind of early-on imprinting? I don't get it man. So many bad characters in the movies, but Bella is the most insufferable.

I hate how they wimped out on this scene. He is supposed to straight up ask Jacob to sleep with bella and impregnate her. Here Edward just pulls jacob outside to say "talk to her". What a waste of film time. Yet another scene in this franchise with zero substance. All the Directors who handled Twilight did a piss poor job

I know right, it sucks, they never made the movies work out, i can save the books but the movies omg so many deleted scenes that were better than the actual pick ones that make a lot more sense

This "imprint" shit is among the most stupid things in this saga. Besides, Jacob is actually awful. First of all, he says to love Bella but utterly hates her daughter and insults her by calling her "Nessie". That's not coherent. He should hate Edward in any case for getting her pregnant. He wanting to kill Renessme after Bella apparently dies is preposterous. He should have fought Edward right there and end that in a draw, I think.
