No one has an original story anymore. I'm over all of the remakes. It feels like most of the movies coming out are remakes or boring "Multiverse" movies. There was no reason to remake this other than to add in DEI.

@@LookSimplyDifferent I did, and liked both (although I haven’t seen the current Part 2 yet). But that’s different, because the source for both is the DUNE series of books by Frank Herbert. If more than one filmmaker wants to make a movie of a book, that’s fine with me. In fact, I’d love to see my 5 favorite directors do film versions of the same book, because you’d get 5 radically different interpretations. But ES was always and only a film project-Tim Burton’s unique “intellectual property”. Remaking it is like rewriting Frank Herbert’s books: WHY?

The original movie does not need to be remade, it was perfect and there is nothing new that needs to be added to it. One of the most memorable scenes in cinema to me is Winona Ryder walking outside and Edward is making it snow and she looks so happy and like spins in it. I loved that scene I thought it was beautiful. Doesn’t need a remake or reboot.
