Even his keynote Healthcare legislation was a gift to insurance companies that add nothing to our standards of care except additional costs.
@fanOmry3 жыл бұрын
@@blindspotspotter.2352 I do agree. Though I believe that was lobbyism (?). He Allowed those Companies to be lazy about their Job, to ensure that when time comes, one is able to do so. @blindspotspotter.23523 жыл бұрын
@@fanOmry True enough . The AHCA essentially put additional millions into the industry while barely increasing services or the number who are well insured. I mean, more people have insurance but the plans are so weak and require such high co-pays that it just increased the number of under insured people. That said, I will give Obama credit for ridding us of the "preexisting conditions " clause and raising the age of children to 26 to ride parental policies. Those were HUGE changes to an industry that only makes money by denying proper care to those who cannot afford it.
@fanOmry3 жыл бұрын
@@blindspotspotter.2352 Those last changes you listed probably did more to increase prices than you seem to think. 1. If they can't so much as give a better price for the healthy clients.. They will give the sick-about-to-need-it price for all. That will be the excuse, anyway. Then the kids.. more people on one contract. Things happening are just more likely. But the price is the same.. Same thing. You would be better of with just Medicaid as is, and the bureaucracy of the industry being shaved to the minimum possible. I.E. same company can work all over the US. As opposed to a single County. More compatition. Then, make what regulation there to be transparency based. I.E. give the market the best conditions to do it job.

I actually knew this was happening 12 years ago because it happened to my family. My family member was a pilot that routinely flew from the U.S. to Mexico. He opened a manufacturing firm in Mexico in the wake of losing its competitiveness in the U.S. One day, his personal plane got stolen by the Mexican government. He then filed an insurance claim for the plane. His insurance company was so angry about paying off the plane that they reported him to the federal government for insurance fraud. The next several years of our lives were hell. We were followed by a white car when driving around town, our phones were tapped, and the icing on the cake is that our home was broken into so that the federal agent could access my family member's personal computer. This family member was imprisoned in federal prison for one summer after the judge generated enough faux evidence for a judge to allow him to arrest him (apparently the approval process was much less stringent under the Patriot Act because international crime could fall under terrorism). My family member spent the time in jail being bullied by the federal agents. They wanted him to plead guilty and testify that one of his work associates was committing a crime so that they could get him too. They were innocent, of course. But that didn't stop the government from treating my family member as guilty before a trial even occurred. Eventually, a trial had to occur, and my family member was instantly acquitted because the faux evidence drawn against him was all ridiculous. This is real, and it was done by the U.S. government. Not China, Russia, or somewhere else. People don't typically notice this kind of stuff until it has an effect on their lives, but we need to look at this now because it is not going away on its own.

How is anybody taking this ridiculous comment seriously? It is just about the most absurd claim I have ever heard in my life. Mexican government steals a plane why exactly? They have enough money to buy planes they don't need to go around illegally stealing planes off people and I can see no evidence that they do. To think the US government would follow anybody for SEVERAL YEARS and tap all their phones and all this crap just because some insurance company accused them of insurance fraud is just ridiculous. That would never happen. The government does enough shady illegal bullshit without people making up complete and utter nonsense. If you had said your family member was leaking classified documents to the press, or that he was actually suspected of a serious crime because of someone he inadvertently did business with then the story may have been plausible, but this whole idea of Mexico stealing a plane then the insurance company getting pissed off and sicking the US government onto them for several years as a result is too dumb to even be the plot of a shit-tier action movie. And besides all that, the Snowden leaks have nothing to do with targeted surveillance of an individual, it's all about the illegal mass surveillance of everybody. We all know the government conducts targeted surveillance of individuals, and I am pretty sure we all understand that sometimes they do need to conduct targeted surveillance of a person to keep others safe.

Okay, financial crisis. Obama bailed out the auto industry when a cadre of Republicans didn't want to. The auto industry not only survived, but paid back the bailout funds with interest. @kevinleahy34894 жыл бұрын
Great insight by Snowden on what happens with the IC and the President. Using fear to keep these programs open but Obama not only keeping those programs but expanding upon them there's no covering up for. Seems like Snowden didn't want to throw Obama under the bus but him expanding those programs speaks volumes. Obama never used words to fight battles like Trump does through Twitter and the media but he definitely did so with the pen. Obama being very good when it came to domestic policies??? Gonna have to disagree with that one. But always thought what Snowden did was to benefit us on what's going on behind close doors of our government and thank him for it. Also thank you Joe for bringing him on
@pasijutaulietuviuesas91744 жыл бұрын
He didn't say he was good at it. He said it's good that Obama focused more on the domestic part.
@terrywaters61864 жыл бұрын
I think it's clear that Obama and the DNC got something very valuable in exchange for expanding those programs, dirt on political adversaries. There has been an inexplicable number of well placed incumbent Republicans 'retiring' the last couple election cycles. Boener, Sessians, Ryan to name just three that layed down on the job then left government. They can't find dirt on Trump so they're manufacturing it. The real story is how the intel has been misused and how the Democratic party and the Intel agencies are in cahoots up to their necks now in illegality and jointly committed to getting Trump out of office before they begin swinging from nooses.

Yes, they are, and the other replies aren't paying attention to how they do it, such that the guy they're doing it to doesn't think he has any choice. I'm long ex of that world, but what Ed says does ring completely true here. And yes, if they convince you that their view is correct, of course you'll appoint who they wish - the one they convince you is expert and on your side, d'oh. And no one new to that office - and they're all new - can know any better. It's one hell of a con, and easy to pull off if you're them.

Doug Coulter so basically what you’re saying is the commander and chief is too inept to realize he’s being used? Wow how surprising, judging by his tweets he’s quite the stable genius so I’m honestly shocked by his inability to make good judgement calls. He could appoint almost anybody yet he appointed the director of the CIA and wants to give the NSA power again, how stoic and noble. I’d bet all his appointments to his cabinet are honest people who built their great wealth from the ground up like him huh? Get real. The dudes a puppet and he’s cool with it like the last 5 presidents.

My brother died of Cancer caused by the anthrax vaccine the Navy forced onto him. It also gave him seizures. They began the day he got the shot. He worked in Naval Intelligence. He wasn't allowed to discuss specifics of his job. He eventually worked contract work after the Navy doing the same job in the same office. In casual conversation, several years ago, long before Snowden, he was asked by family "As an average American, who shoulkd we be more worried about? Is it Iran, Russia, China, North Korea? Who?" His answer was "Your own Government". When he died I went with our parents down to DC/Baltimore to gather some of his things and decide what to do with everything, and we met the Director at the Naval Intelligence Office and had a sit down and conversation with him. After we were done, it felt more like an interrogation to find out what we knew or what we were told that we shouldnt have been. It was subtle. We were never told anything specific, and the your own Government comment was the only thing of substance. He would joke that he'd have to kill us if he told us when we would ask stuff. It makes you wonder why he a healthy guy in his 20's would get seizures and cancer out of nowhere. But it just goes to show you what reality truly is. BTW, Snowden is lying. Snowden was a CIA plant to expose the NSA's capabilities to the public and garner backlash, then enable the CIA to do the same things going forward. Why? The CIA is rogue, and answers to only the NWO. The NSA was concerned at the CIA's activities. Q said as much. Who's Q? Are you ready for a dose of reality? Go find out.
