This just popped up into my YT feed. And yes, can confirm it makes a huge difference. I recently started RC club racing,,,.entry level, nothing fancy. I assumed I can just turn up and drive...boy was I wrong lol...car was all over the place as I couldn’t keep it on track.It was always difficult to control, especially in corners....few days after my first few races, one of the other guys at the club brought his scales, rebuilt my suspension, popped the car on the scales and made adjustments....next time out on track it cornered like it was on rails and handled so good that I couldn’t keep up with how well it accelerated, slowed down etc...I was expecting a slight change but this was brilliant. It really does make a huge difference as it does in real life racing. Weight distribution and balance are key......I’m still a sh*t driver though 🤦‍♂️😂

Make sure your chassis is tweak free, bind free, and use setup wheels. Using just tires can throw off the measurements because of different weights of the rubber tire, rim, and insert. Don't get to carried away with trying to make it ultra precise. Accept some room for error.

+Metron Aerial don't get too fuss with the weight bias. Get it within a few grams of each other. You should do this with a set of setup wheels or rims. A newly built wheel, insert, and tire can cause such problems. Setup wheels are the way to go.

I bought this and there is no way just going up and down on shock collars is going to equal out cars there is other stuff like oil,springs,battery and elec placements, etc

jstump1972 You;re absolutely right! Have you checked my other KZfaq videos? Such as Chassis Balance Pins? Pre-Chassis Balance? Also,keep in mind that this video is for touring cars. Your vehicle is completely different and will require different methods.

vwvr6 Maximum weight for each scale is 2kg. Your 1/5th car would be too heavy. Sorry.

Hello - Sorry, I've been very busy over the past couple months. Step 1 - Make sure chassis is not tweaked Step 2 - Make sure the suspension arms are not binding/sticking. Make sure the droop screws are set equal left and right. Front and rear can be different Step 3 - Build shocks that are smooth, same length and same rebound - Zero rebound is best. Step 4 - Make sure the car is balanced left and right (use balancing pins) Step 5 - Set the ride height so the car is 5.2 mm left and right on the front and 5.4 mm for the rear. Step 6 - Place the car on the scales (make sure the table is perfectly flat and level) Step 7 - Push on the center top deck of the chassis 2-3 times and check the weight distribution on the scales. Step 8 - Adjust the shock collars up or down EVENLY for each shock. Do a 1/4 turn for each shock. Step 9 - Adjust in a ''X'' pattern. Start with the heaviest front corner first usually the FR - Front Right Step 10 - Start with the FR, the RL (Rear Left), then RR (Right Rear), then FL (Front Left). Step 11 - Repeat until the weight is relatively even.
