What if somewhere there's such a large brine that has waves produced by its own currents and by winds that are made of the water above. There, on the surface of this magical place, some fishes are learning to "swim" and hold their breath to explore the life that lives under those waves.

It is not the camera that's bad you need good lighting.
@tabitha8232
@tabitha8232 5 жыл бұрын
Mihari You can use normal cameras, including phone cameras, underwater actually. However there are some challenges. First of it needs to be waterproof so you’ll need to buy a housing that lets you still press the buttons while not getting it wet and not obstructing the flashes, lenses, etc. Second of all light is attenuated and distorted by not only the water itself but also objects floating in the water. So it is very hard to get good color accuracy for anything that is more than about a meter away I think is the last I read. Moreover, this distorts resolution. Also it is dark underwater, especially where they are, so they need to add some sort of full spectrum lighting artificially. Last I heard they captured blue planet on 8k cameras which are mounted on a submersible submarine. Full 8k cameras cost anywhere from 3-70,000$ cuz of the components like carbon fiber sensors and magnesium. I did read somewhere that a Chinese company claims to have built a smartphone with an 8k camera incorporated but to even hold as much data as this camera captures in a small device’s memory and power all the components it has coolant and a fan built-in. In addition to this I don’t think most peoples’ data plans or processors would allow them to download and open videos and images taken on an 8k camera, so the smartphone would only be useful as a dedicated video smartphone So long story short your phone camera could work underwater with a good case it’s just probably not going to take very good images, and the components that you need to make a camera powerful enough to capture good images are more expensive and bulky than most consumers can afford or even require.
