QLCS tornadoes are often sudden and difficult to see. This one was no different

Ethan B Much agreed. It was also nighttime so that didn’t help lol. I only knew until now that the storm dropped a tornado because I was so far away at the time. Didn’t realize it actually dropped until I saw this video.

This is just incorrect, many cars can withstand impacts from EF-1 tornadoes. EF-2 is where things get sketchy.

@@deaconbluezz8827 I literally just stated aerodynamics are the cause of vehicles being able to withstand such a tornado- EF-1's have been commonly know to flip and roll larger vehicles such as mobile homes in conditions that don't favour the object impacted.

@@WeatherxCalipha First of all, my comment initially came off as more passive aggressive than intended, so apologies there my dude. That being said however, your claim insinuated that without that car being placed in the exact way it was, it would have been lifted or rolled due to improper aerodynamics, I was simply saying that that's not exactly correct, an EF-1 is not capable of rolling, nevermind lifting, many vehicles no matter what angle they are hit from (some larger vehicles such as motorhomes or semi-trailers are exceptions to this). No reason to beef though, when it comes down to it, I'm just playing the semantics game.

@@deaconbluezz8827 Yes, they are- and aerodynamics mean everything when discussing whether a tornado flips, overturns, or even tosses a vehicle, here's an example of an EF-1 tornado flipping a car: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y79gqpeB27bamqc.html Despite the vortex's small size and fast moving speed it was powerful enough to overturn and blow the vehicle across the roadway. EF-2's on the other hand have been shown throwing 20-ton trailers dozens of meters into the air.

@@WeatherxCalipha I should stress I said "Not capable of rolling/lifting many vehicles" by that I mean there are many cars that can take an impact from an EF-1 and walk away just fine. I will admit, the aerodynamics do play a large role, but in most cases, regardless of direction of impact, your average vehicle will remain upright. I am speaking mostly from my own experience though, so I could be incorrect, but I have followed quite a few tornadic cells and I very seldom will see cars flipped from an EF-1. Can it happen? Sure. Will it generally happen if your average sedan is struck by a Tornado? I would say most likely not. That video is insane btw, wish the quality was better with a wider fov.

It's a tornado but it's hard to predict since it was wrapped within the QLCS.

@@someaveragemaxrubyfan8716 I say microburst. It's a microburst filled with rain, not a tornado wrapped in rain. Rain-wrapped tornadoes have rain wrapped around them, not in them. Microbursts are often filled with heavy rain themselves.The circulation was aloft in this video, undercut by the downdraft/microburst.

@@davidsul7052 tornado is there but embedded within Microburst or even QLCS.
