How can you learn to swing a golf club without having to think about too many things?
I woke up to this in my inbox:
"That was the most amazing golf lesson - exactly what I needed. You mention all the time that we should keep the golf swing simple but I never really believed it fully...you have no idea the impact this golf lesson has had on my game. I'm so grateful for you and your time!!"
Whoa! how nice is that...
I absolutely love helping golfers find their golf swings. Getting feedback that they are finding the game so much easier and having much more fun on the golf course is why I do what I do. You see over the years the golf swing has been chopped up and dissected into so many pieces it can sometime feel like it will take forever to learn.
But don't believe that. This is the old school way.
The new school way is to learn your swing. We are all built differently, different shapes and sizes, different levels of strength and flexibility. Should we all swing it the same way?
Take a look at the the hottest golfers in the world right now. Dustin Johnson, Mathew Wolff, Victor Hofland. They have chosen to adopt the new school way. They have chosen to find a golf swing that works for them rather than fit into a model that someone has designed.
In this weeks golf lesson I give you an amazing golf drill that will truly help you strike the golf ball so much better, hit driver straight...but more importantly it won't require you to remember a check list of to do's before every shot. If you have questions like How do I hit a golf ball with an Iron? How can I learn to strike my irons pure every time? How do I stop hitting the ground behind the golf ball? How to hit driver straight?
PRACTICE PLAN
I you like the golf lesson with my compliments you can download the PDF lesson summary and step by step practice plan. Great to take to your next driving range session: Download it for free here: ⛳️www.dannymaude.com/effortless...

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZfaq and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumbleI’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

In my opinion without question the best teacher/communicator I have ever seen!!... Has not only the understanding of what most golfers problems are but also has the ability teach and/or communicate what needs to be done to recognize and resolve problems in the swing but also provides the information to better our swings and game. So glad to have come across his teaching..., totally transformed my game!! THANKS DANNY!!

Shot a 104 Friday, watched this on Saturday, hit some foam balls in my yard, shot 92 on Sunday! Danny you are a miracle worker. The round (save one hole...) felt so easy and in control. If I didn't go +6 on that oneeee hole, I could've been high 80s easily. That being said, can you make a video on how to play shots out of trouble? Awkward lies, branches above, out of the fairway bunkers... I feel my whole game fall apart if I can't hit my stock shot.

@@DanielMaude Just wanted to chime in with an update and say I had my most consistent round ever today. 8 pars, 6 bogeys, 3 doubles, and 1 triple (OB off the tee) for a total of 86. I'm feeling so confident behind the ball lately! I just need to straighten out my mid irons a bit, and I'll be cooking with gas.

The fog is lifting. I FELT this last week at the driving range, but didn't know how to explain it. I swapped between doing my normal SLICE MONSTER swing and this MOMENTUM SNAP delay swing and I was hitting it straight as an arrow. Couldn't really put it into words and didn't really feel like I could consistently reproduce the effect. After watching 60 seconds of this video, I thought to myself O-M-G!!! He's talking about it and explaining it perfectly... It's 11pm and I wish I could go to a course right now, instead I'm heading outside to practice this. Can't get to a range for a few days, I'll update you in a couple of days. Thank you SUBSCRIBED.

I have been watching golf videos for years and have had many lessons from different teachers. None have come close to Danny in his ability to simplifying instead of complicating. Danny shows you how to self assess every aspect of your golf swing so that you know how to correct. He is the best. I finally understand what to do. Just need to practice . Thanks Danny

Danny, I'm 77 but in good shape. 1 1/2 years ago I had a partial right knee replacement and a left shoulder replacement due to arthritis. I have been trying to rebuild my swing so I can reclaim driver and iron distance not to mention consistent ball contact. I watched this video then went out to the back yard where I have a hitting net and a swing monitor. Trying your three tips I increased 7 iron clubhead speed by 10 mph and from 100 yd carry to 120. Striking the ball was much more fun too. My shots looked like they hit center to left center on the net. Can't wait to get to the practice tee next Wednesday and take this swing to the round with my buddies. I think this will also help stretch out the muscles in my left arm which will no doubt improve my swing as I practice and play. My surgeon says "go play". Thanks for this great teaching video.

Hey Danny, I just so happened to see one of your videos on Facebook. I have been golfing for years and got extremely serious about my golf game about 5 years ago. In that time I went to DLA(David Lead better Academy) 3 times and Dave Pelz school as well. My handicap went to a +2.1, but I took a job that kept me extremely busy and I didn't practice as much any more. I just rejoined my club in town (after these 5 years) and now am able to practice once again, but my golf game is not that good anymore. I have taken your lessons you share and watched over and over and practiced them and am starting to see some of my game come back. I watch your videos all the time and wanted to say how much I appreciate you and the work you are doing to help all of us. Thank you so much for the passion you show on your lessons and the passion you show in knowing you're helping others. I would really like to meet you in person one day to tell you how you have helped me in some of things I've forgotten, as well as how much simpler you've made the golf swing. Keep the videos coming...

Danny, a few of your videos/concepts have really started to help my ball striking in the last few weeks. (1) This one, which is very similar to what Erika Larkin teaches with her "true swing" idea. (2) the video or two where you talk about the circle idea, (3) at one point within those videos you talk about shifting the circle so that the bottom is in the right place, and I think you mention the point where the club/wrists release (after impact). If you imagine those three ideas as a Venn diagram, the overlapping section seems to be where things are starting to click for me (seems to be how my brain works). On the third point, I think that has really helped, because for the longest time I was trying to manipulate my hands and arms so that I was "keeping wrist bend" or "creating shaft lean" at impact. But I think subconsciously, my brain is always looking for a defined goal/target. So when I was thinking of impact as the target, my body was still always making those adjustments to try and "hit" the ball at impact, releasing my wrists early. When I think of the positive target (the release point on the circle after impact) that seems to encourage my body to release at the right point, and when I watch myself on video, I seem to keep my hands ahead of the ball without even thinking about it or trying. Still early in the process, so hopefully the progress continues, but cheers, and thanks for the videos.

Super, Danny. You're the coach with the greatest insight and emphasis on this. And I feel it might be the number 1 golf element and gift for the amateur golfer. That they can get much more from their game and out of it, and their shots. And naturally for flush hit down contact, compression and effortless 'snap' as you rightly say. For distance and pretty ball flight, accuracy, lead-up-to-follow-through, tempo, consistency of movement, for everything, really. And it all that just happens! Control from flow, from letting go, and from letting go of control itself. It's brilliant, magical actually. Momentum's the difference between swing and club, of clubbing the ball.

I would love to have the problem where I hit the ball too far. LOL I know it's my body mechanics that limit my clubhead speed. I really like the pivot drill. It reminds me of what it felt like 25 years ago when I actually did that in a golf swing. Over time, as as I have aged, I've lost it, really apparently in the last two or three years. The other interesting thing about these drills is that they make the proper posture feel natural and easy to maintain. It's raining and cold here in upstate New York (I'm due south of Kingston, Ontario Canada on Lake Ontario), but I am chafing to get to the local range and run through these drills in preparation to hit balls tomorrow. Thanks a bunch!.

Hi Danny at 73 I ‘ crack the whip ´ a little differently then you are recommending. At the very top of my downswing I am using exclusively my upper trail arm only to push against my trail rib cage all the way to the finish of my swing My trail forearm; hands and wrists are then initially repelled by this move as is my club head lagging behind until the bottom of my swing arc. Between my 2 and a half inch scapula glide backswing as taught by Alison Thietje and this I now have an infallible easy swing that my entire older body can now respond to automatically. Hope you check it out for your dad as well. Cheers

I have watched thousands of golf videos over the past couple years. This one is the absolute best and it is all about a natural swing/motion. None of these weird grips or body positions. I have been watching this before every round to reinforce these ideas. My swing is much much better. Thanks a lot Danny!

Great video again Danny. Lightbulb moment for me..have always been guilty of a flat shoulder turn but your pivot guidance with the left arm pointing to the trail foot and right arm towards the left foot is so helpful. No more flat turns and no more dipping..just a pivot, which with your other swing thoughts today will keep that light burning! Thank you as always.
