Hi, thank you for the video. I don't have issues with the yellowing because l "tear" the pages out of the coloring Book, then put them in plastic sleeves. I checked the 60 pack (no way to buy the 120 here, and the 80 has simply disappeared), the colors and numbers are the same as the Ohuhu ones, which also exist as chisel/brush tips. The only difference is that there seems to be a lot of other colors in the Efimeso 120, but l guess it also means they don't have all the Ohuhu colors (l hope this makes sense 😅). I wish Efimeso would sell the 120 pack again in Western Europe.

Yes, I think I said that in the video, they are the same colour numbers as the slim Ohuhus (which only come on 96 colours and have fine & chisel tip).

@@ArtJourneyUK yes you said it, l just wanted to point out that the slim Ohuhu markers also exist with a chisel and brush tip - now l don't know if they're still available on Amazon. Sorry for the confusion, English is not my mother language 😉

That’s such a frustrating issue….I’ve had it happen with several different brands too 😐 I have been leaving some wax proof paper in between pages or a sheet of copy paper but hate how cumbersome that is. On some books it doesn’t really matter, but when it affects more expensive books or something that has taken a long time to colour it is very disappointing.

Agreed. The first time I noticed was with my Floral Mandala book and I was really disappointed as I had really enjoyed taking my time over a few pages in there. And then once I and checked my other books I realised I'd used them in my Matchstick Mouse books too and was sad about that. Sticking to brands I trust now!

Hi Lily,,I have been using these exact same markers since October last year ,I've coloured with them a lot and up till now have had no yellowing ,infact I like them so much recently bought another set of the 120,can't understand it,very strange,I have had some yellowing with the oleep markers also arteza everblend ,thank you for sharing

Very strange because these pens (and the same numbered Ohuhu ones) did the worse yellowing out of all the pens I've tried. I wonder if you've just managed to avoid the colours that yellow? 🤔

@@ArtJourneyUK Now, that would make an interesting investigation video. Whats causing the yellowing? Is it the ink? Or the alcohol? Or the paper? You should swatch all the colors to see if all of them do the yellowing, or just certain colors. Then we could exclude the alcohol and paper, leaving only the ink as the culprit.

I bought this set in the US under the name Restly. Same set of 120 brush markers with the skinny triangle barrels. They yellowed as well. So sad because it is really a cute set and great value.

Yes, these are definitely a white label pen available under a few brand names (including Ohuhu). Whatever ink this brand uses causes the worst yellowing. Least we know now! Happy Colouring 🥰

Try to take out thr brush tip and look if the brush has another brush on the other end. I discovered it with my touch new brush markers

Thanks for sharing and it's a shame they yellow. I wonder if you left a piece of paper either side for a while, if the yellowing would then stop after a few weeks and you could remove the paper? I also wonder if you could refill them with a different sort of ink, so still make use of the brush tip, eg the Shinhan ink. They do look nice other than the yellowing, so just curious if anyone knows more. 🙂 It's definitely not easy to find reasonably priced markers with good brush tips, that aren't too chunky like the other Ohuhus (lol, I am a bit like Goldilocks, still after that perfect marker!)

I've left paper in books before and then removed them and the yellow seems to still appear, albeit a bit fainter. They were such a cute set of pens, but in all honesty, they worst yellowing I've had! P.S. I'm like Goldilocks too, always searching 😆 I really hoped these wouldn't yellow.

Though l don't keep my colored pages in the books, l've noticed some yellowing here and there. But l wonder : when l started using alcohol markers around 2017-2018, l didn't have that yellowing issue. It seems it's quite recent, maybe something has changed with the markers and/or the paper ?

Just a thought I had: but could the type alcohol or an additive used be reacting to the acid in the paper? I wonder if they yellow on acid free paper?

They do Georgia. I had the same thought so tried them on Acid & Lignin Free paper.

They had nice little brush tips. I was tempted to keep them but the yellowing was some of the worst I'd seen, whoever makes those Pantone colour inks....

To be honest, you can't go wrong with Ohuhu (Honolulu range). They're not budget budget but they're also not the most expensive markers and I never have an issue with them (see my brush marker comparison review here:- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bsibhKacrMrOkas.html The good thing is you can start with a small set and then move onto a bigger set:- amzn.to/3DIIw4Q

Would putting a piece of tracing paper or something over the actual picture colored keep it from yellowing the other pages they touch? But then that sounds like too much trouble. Other markers dont yellow other pages. Why do these I wonder?

It would "catch" the yellowing, but then the colouring book would be 3 times as thick, paper in front & behind each page. Not sure why some brands do this and others don't, it's a pain!

Wow…that’s really weird…my Ohuhu swatches have done the same as has Arteza Everblend and I couldn’t figure out why…It’s got to have something to do with the yellow pigment🤓🥰

@@ArtJourneyUK …I have 2 sets the first ones and the 2nd issue but not the brush nibs…I have swatched all the stuff I own and even the original Promarkers do this…Mine still work and they must be about 20years old…I’m such a Geek…🤣🤣

Aww Emmy, I should have remembered to upload this quicker and it might have saved peeps buying them. I was really bummed when I found the Ohuhu's did it because I'd coloured loads with those... including my Matchstick Mouse books 😕
