Eggless Chocolate Cake in Pressure Cooker

Ingredients
Maida - 1 1/2 CUP
Sugar - 1 CUP
Cocoa powder - 1/4 CUP
Baking powder - 2 TSP
Baking soda - 1 1/2 TSP
Oil - 1/2 CUP
Milk - 1 CUP
Vanilla essence - 1 TSP
Hot water - 1/2 CUP
Oil
Maida
Fresh cream - 200 ML
Dark chocolate - 250 GMS
Chocolate wafers
Method
In a bowl, mix maida, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and keep this aside
In another bowl, mix oil, milk, vanilla essence and this to the dry ingredients
Mix everything well
Add hot water and mix well
Grease the baking tin with oil and flour. Dust off the excess
Pour the cake batter into the tin
Heat a pressure cooker with rock salt, place a stand at the bottom, place a plate on top of the stand and place the tin on the plate
Close the pressure cooker and bake the cake for 90 mins
Take the cake out and let it cool completely
Heat a saucepan, add fresh cream, chocolate pieces and mix well
Turn off the stove when the chocolate is completely melted, keep it aside
Take the cake out from the tin
Pour the chocolate ganache over the cake
Decorate the cake with chocolate wafers
Delicious soft and moist Chocolate Cake is ready

It was my son's birthday and becauz of this lockdown which is presently going on.....no bake houses were open.....and thus we scrolled through the chocolate cake recipes. We saw many recipes.....they were ok....but when we saw this yummy video.....oh yess atlast we reached the correct one.....and yes we did it.......too yummy that my son loved it like anything....as it was a try we thought we would just loose it.....but our hopes did come true.....thanku so much.....😋🤤.

Dont over mix your batter because whenever you mix the wet and dry ingredients gluten is formed which makes your cake hard. You might also be using the wrong type of flour.

Hi Hema garu, I tried this recipe with both maida and wheat flour. Both of them tasted awesome. But the one made with wheat flour required more cooking time (more than 2hours) and more whisking. Thank you for the recipe.😋😋

Hi, Should we necessarily use a beater, can I just mix the wet and dry ingredients in a mixie jar? will it make a difference. I have not tried salt for baking , therefore want to know if the salt will not burn if cooked for 1.30 hrs?

Hey Vikraman, You could more or less, fold it with a whisk too! it doesnt make any difference, also yes, the salt doesnt burn. if u are using some fresh salt a little smell is perfectly fine until u have used it twice or so!
