In this video we walk around the suburb of Eglinton in Perth, Western Australia. This is a northern suburb located on the coast.
This is a relatively new suburb in Perth where there is still plenty of opportunities to buy land and build. The government is investing in new infrastructure for Eglinton with a train station soon to open and a primary school to open in 2025.

Thinking of building in eglinton or alkimos, Hopefully they don't let any state housing in these areas, brings in to much trouble, that's what's happening in ellenbrook.

Unfortunately you are correct. State housing always attracts a certain type. The only way to be sure of no state housing is to buy in a private estate as the government is buying land and building houses in most suburbs. The land agent will be able to tell you if state housing is planned or not.

We bought the land 300sq² corner lot in front of future park in Elavale last year for 215k, 265k for Blueprint Homes including upgrades. Scheduled for slab next month, can't wait!😊

That's a very good price for the build! may I ask how many sqm build are you getting? 160sqm?

Thanks VOTL for featuring the suburb of Eglinton. We just bought a land there and construction is on the way next month. I’m the one asking for this video since last year if you recall. Anyways, thank you and more power guys! Keep on doing what you love.

How much is the land? How much will it cost for building a house?

I got a 460sqm corner block for 230k and before it settled the land went up to 245k and now they are selling them for 260k. Overall cost is ~580k. Almost 80k cheaper than the current market price for established home. Very nice area, I'm relocating from Sydney!
