I used my peat moss spreader to spread my mason sand this past summer and it worked really well. Spread it super evenly instead of just flinging it around randomly with a shovel

@YardBrah no it was like the perfect amount for me. Probably helped that the sand was slightly wet. I got it in bulk from my landscape supply yard. After it dried out I went back and raked it in with my level lawn and then broomed it in even more. I imagine if it was like perfectly dry and super fine like play sand it might flow out a little too quick. I'd give it a try in a small area and see if you like the flow/ amount. I just found I wasn't very good at spreading it consistently by hand.

Checkmate stripes very nice just a pain to take off when I need to mow the side wall strips… for me at least I’m loving this design… nice thing about checkmate is it pretty much fits on any mower i have 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥

Thank you for making this video. I received the striper kit yesterday. After a very thorough inspection and design comparison, I found that it would be a mistake for me to put the new rear shield to my LM2142SP as the original rear shield provides much more seal at the back of the mower therefor would create a much better vacuum, suction and lift than the new 3 clips drop down open design of the new rear shield which is implemented on all the new models since the introduction of the SelectCut few years ago. I wonder if that is the cause for many SelectCut owners to complain about the poor vacuum, suctions and lift on their mowers. After tracing the new rear shield side edges over the old shield, I use a pair of scissors to cut off about 1 1/2" off both sides of the old shield edges and the striper kit went in and out freely while keeping the current rear seal design intact.

I didn't think Ego would ever release their own striping kit! Any idea if they plan to release the multi head scissor trimmer attachment? I believe they've had it available over in the U.K. for more than a year.. been waiting forever for it :(

Love ego products. That’s all I use now. So far I have the mower, snow blower, trimmer, edger, edger top attachment, the foldable lights, fan. Whatever else they come out with I’m getting it lmao Also, how do you find room for all this stuff in a two car garage and a medium sized shed? Do you have to purge some items or do you find a way to make it all fit?

Front yard is mostly Kentucky blue and perennial rye! Winter spring it’s cut around 2” to 1 1/2” with the rotary… summer time is reel mowed from 1” to 3/4” 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
