James explains the benefits and features of the brand new PCCX 1000 Professional X Telescopic Pole Saw & Hedge Trimmer from EGO Power Plus.
The PPX1000 has an extendable reach up to 4 metres, enabling you to work on those harder to reach jobs without the need for platforms or ladders. The in-line battery position gives the tool with optimum balance during use, and the replaceable rear foot also acts as a carrying handle, providing protection against bumping and dropping.
The telescopic pole has a tool-free interchangeable head system which can be set up to work with either the pruning saw or hedge trimmer attachment in just a few seconds. The aluminium oval shaft is robust in design and lined with a rubber sleeve for comfort, grip and reach.
It also houses the battery and dual-trigger controls, meaning you’re more in control of the tool, and can select the power you need to complete each task. There are multiple trigger points to provide great reach and manoeuvrability relevant to the application when in use.

Hi Benedict, thank you for your message. No you can’t attached a Strimmer attachment to this model but you can for one to the standard multitool 👍🏼

It would be based on trigger time but even from the 2.5ah battery you would get a good 40-60mins I recon depending on what your cutting.

I would prefer the old one. The trigger is better for long time use, you can extend it unlimited and you don't have to lift the heavy engine at the top

@@dmythica I tried this model in the shop and it’s quite cumbersome to wield about. I ended up buying 2 carbon extension poles for the multi-tool.

@@rconn4501 yes, it works perfectly, very smooth with hardly any flex. I’m glad I didn’t fork-out for the extending tool.

UK is more Green minded; England bans gas blowers etc. Ego didn’t ship many products to USA this yr - no explaining. USA not ban gas machines; my silly city rewards all deafening gas garden machines over any quiet electric.

@@l.e.6263 There are no plans to ban any petrol/gas blowers in the UK. I believe California are planning to ban the sale of small gasoline engines from 2023?
