What a great souk! While it's true that many vendors sell cheap foreign-made souvenirs, some other shops have incredible artifacts and magnific wonders like the mother pearl box, the bronze lamps, and hand-made jewelry. 🛍️🛍️

With Aaron we also visited one of the most known cafe's in all Egypt, Nagib Mahfuz: dedicated to a famous egyptian writer, here you can try typical drinks like Karkade or Karroob in a unique middleeastern environment.
this is a local market open 24h. You can buy anything from beautiful chandeliers to oils, clothes, souvenirs. Most of the things need to be negotiated and there are a few annoying sellers trying to push you to buy. The market is a must visit though.
