Eid Prayer in Albania

Күн бұрынThere was blessed rain in Albania during Eid prayer. Here is a drone and live footage showing Eid congregation prayer in Elbasan and Tirana cities. Albanian worshipers pray outside in the square and mosques are not allowed to perform prayers inside. It is a Sunnah that the Eid prayer is organized at an open, well known space so that the community can gather and perform this distinctive act of worship.

The closest I have been to is Malaysia for a week in 2013 and I am mesmerised by Asian culture and Islamic traditions in that region. We are all one ummah regardless of our nationalities. Hi Mike, thanks for your comment. yes Albanians suffered under communism. it was brutal, harsh and horrible. Who could have imagined the son of an imam would lead a country for 45 years and persecute muslims and other faiths. When the regime fell i was 11 so i remember slightly. May Allah bless you more!

I have experienced Eid in India also - it is unique feeling, the congregation, the imam, the warmth, the visits after eid prayer and i do like the sweet (sheer khurma) which I ate yesterday 🥣 , very nice

actually it is not music meaning music with instruments. it is islamic nasheeds in Albanian language without musical instruments. the language is in Albanian
