About Eike Becker:
Eike Becker was born in 1962 in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, and studied in Aachen, Paris and Stuttgart. Earlier in his career he worked with Norman Foster and Richard Rogers in London and is now a multi-award-winning architect and designer. In 1999, together with Helge Schmidt, he founded Eike Becker_Architekten in Berlin, one of the most renowned architectural practices in Germany. They pay special attention to urban centers and life there, as well as to public spaces and neighborhoods. From 1999 to 2005 he was chairman of the board of KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin. He participated in the 12th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in Venice in 2012.
