Take this with a grain of salt as I am a disabled U.S Army Vet. But I honestly feel so much personal guilt for the current struggle in your homeland. I truly wish there was more I could do to help you in your peoples noblest of stands against tyranny in this tragic time. But seeings how my disability would make me more of a hindrance in your struggle for freedom than an asset in person I will continue to advocate for you where and when I can here in Maine. A Chechen once told me "The whole world is shocked by Russian brutality in Ukraine, except us." What did he mean by that? What he meant was that his people had been oppressed and almost wiped out by the Russians for hundreds of years. So, Russian brutality and imperialism is nothing new for a Chechen anyway because he knows what to expect from a Russian. We see this once again in Ukraine. It is outrageous that European politicians wanted to negotiate with Putin and made concessions to him, even though this man bombed Chechnya and had more than 250,000 people murdered, he attacked Georgia, he bombed Syria, had people murdered in African countries and has started the war in Ukraine in 2014. It seems like some of them still want to remain friends with putin, given the delays of their military support to Ukraine. It’s pretty obvious now that they don’t want to end this war fast. A huge lesson to us. Never rely on anyone but yourself. Even if there are agreements in a written form, signed and stamped. If we weren’t that gullible and naive, we would have our own weapons and production facilities, and wouldn’t have to deal with the hypocrisy of Western politics, as it's going on right now.
