I know what you mean about the trees. But where they are naturally there are not a lot of trees. It is the desert, and love the fact that they are sticking to this theme. This environment feels like home in this region.

The best way is for structural engineers to learn basic ideas of architecture and lead the design team from concept to reality instead of architiect come up with unrealistic structural forms in search of glory and that would ensure structurally sound and innovative architecturally appealing.Clients prefer architects because they are good with word to impress clients, they take them into confident instead of engineers who are seen as putiing steel and concrete to make whatever architects fancy.

Wonder if they are already built or computer animation? I would not like to live in gravity defying building which put excessive 3 dmentional stresses on structural members which are of innovative in design but structurally challenging.

I am wondering how could they build it and how much they cost. It looks quite difficult to accomplish. Maybe the engineers who work for her are all giants in engineering.

having a connection to a building as a human is no laughing matter karlneo.- this is a real concept architects have been working with since...forever. take a church in a small religious town for example- the church will have a connection with all the believers in that town.

i dont know if you read lusaka99's comment- my post was a response to it, and i see you responded to it with the same idea that i had in my response- why should she focus on making beautiful buildings when there are a lot of other factors she could, and probably should focus on, before that. also, shes not trying to go for "beautiful" and if you know anything about architecture (this is more directed at lusaka99) you shouldnt call anything beautiful- you should try explain where she succeedes

what im trying to say is that when speaking in architectural terms one does not go and call anything just beautiful- he might say (about hadid)- the way she uses organic forms on a large scale successfully apperas futuristic and monumental which in many peoples subjective eyes might be described as " beautiful". get it? calling something beautiful is too broad and unspecidfic and no one with an opinion can use it for anything
@caspmct
@caspmct 12 жыл бұрын
the suggestion that zaha hadid does not aspire to create beautiful architecture is patently ridiculous. it's all subjective, and your opinion doesn't matter to anyone but you. certainly, it wouldn't matter to zaha hadid, who, i am SURE, finds her own work to be quite beautiful.

A lot of her works do not come to reality unfortunately. They are very expensive to build and before their time. I hate the term (before their time) I say if you can imagine it, It should be built!!. The Chinese tried one of her projects and it is falling apart. Because they did not have the material or tech to build the structure correctly.

also read about Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Aboriginals, and all primitive tribes from the beginning of time before you start talking about symbols. Also my mention of working for firms like these was not to be of grandeur like ur mind thinks. I was merely trying to explain how these architects think. Its all about themselves and their money not about creating architecture that help people or the world. I won't even bother because obviously your mind is on topic of Narcissism.1 cause of GFC

1. it is meaningless to suggest that Hadid does not design 'beautiful' buildings. 2. what could you possibly mean by 'her buildings are a 100% formulistic- without care for any certain care for the human'? this is gibberish. 3. architecture is about more than what?

one of the worst buildings she has ever made if know this , but the Egyptian environment is really hot at summer .. so she really didn't take this in mind and made all of the southern elevations of glass that would made it really hard to with the hot sun .. which will made a lot of power go wasted on air-conditions. also she didn't consider the surrounding type of architecture and made a buildings that doesn't speak about the Egyptian culture

No one wants your dystopian world, please design something for human life. Have you ever heard of a tree, or the color green? Convening with, and combining with nature, is always a good place to start. We really don't want to live in the Matrix. Real talk.
