Stoicism for Inner Peace (book): einzelganger.co/innerpeace
The Stoics considered discipline a virtue, along with other related qualities like perseverance, endurance, high-mindedness, and self-control. The Stoics favored hard work and spending their days wisely. Seneca, for example, urges us not to waste our time and act now as life is short. Marcus Aurelius points to nature, concluding that we naturally tend to be hard-working. This video explores Stoic philosophy that may help develop self-discipline.

I have this quote in front of my bed, it's the last thing I see when I go to sleep, and the first when I woke up: "becoming rich is hard, being poor is hard, choose your hard" and this quote helped me a lot to improve in life, and after discovering stoicism, I change my perception to rich and poor, not about just money or materials, but about the quality of life, thoughts, and mindfulness.

Yeah, discipline is a superpower After my college graduation, I want to be financially independent and take responsibility of my parents, so I selected a specific area which I thought ok for me. Then I started to work, slowly and calmly [Time and patience are the strongestof warriors]After understanding the basics, little by little I began to enjoy my work. Now I am have an earning and doing the work that I choosed to do. Doing things are much easier after certain time man, because you will unconsciously find time for it, even in the midset of troubles. When I started to fix myself. The one thing I want to cultivate the most was discipline. Firstly I started to read, when it became my habit I started to workout/playing, then started to Expertise In a specific area for earning bread, now it all becomes a habit and still going on ,much easier.

This reminds me of writing my first few novels, building the self-control and discipline required to create the book was like building a set of muscles. It was hard at first, only a few hundred words per day. But, like anything, it became easier with practice and I could increase the mental weights to a few thousand words per day. Discipline is freedom!

@Einzelgänger I appreciate the perspective you take. There is truth in ideas that have been repeated throughout history. However, there doesn’t seem to be much psychology to reinforce the ideas. How one is taught self-discipline is hugely important; one can have self-discipline and appear to be noble from lookers-in, but deeply hate themselves or intensely berate themselves from the inside when the schedule or work isn’t done properly. I agree, self-discipline is important, but if you don’t love yourself as well, self-discipline can destroy the self.

I would say not giving up is the key to success. Many people said I would not complete my degree because of the language barrier I had when I moved to another country. However that just made me not want to give up. While others around me dropped the degree all together, I stayed on to the end. It wasnt easy. There are times I wanted to throw in the towel but I wouldnt allow myself to give up unless I had to. Being determined requires being stubborn. Stubborness isn't always a bad trait.

Try another channel that might challenge you with ideas. If you enjoy challenging ideas and if mastery and masculinity are subjects that interest you, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel. Challenge yourself with some ideas about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would admire. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well. Looking forward to your points of view. All the best to you!

Beautiful work as always! Self-Discipline is something that I found is so much easier by limiting tech while working on myself and my work! By working on self belief and confidence and our mindset, we can see our full potential. We are the pilot of an interconnected interdependent machine that can move through space and time and can do things of a great nature. Somethings are out of our control but we can control but we can control!

I am working on this. Focusing on honing my skill (digital art). Society is moving so fast. But I realized most of it is just a distraction. All I want from this existence is to know that my creations will make an impact.

WOW!!! You just published this "work of art" 13 hrs ago. Today I just recorded myself saying that I don't love myself enough because I keep putting things in my body that are not good for me. .. nicotine. Processed foods. Etc. Not wearing a seat belt, or driving fast.means I dont care I have 9 days off of work to give me time to withdrawal and to quit. This video helps me to realize that I was right in my thinking.

Discipline is not being good at doing something, but being good at not doing something else. Just focus on what you are doing.

The only instance i justify obsession is when it comes to my relationship to your work. I have been searching for years and assume i will until my last breath. However i feel like i have finally found an all encompassing source of wisdom that is filtered through a wise and unique being such as yourself. I had just finished your book "Loose" yesterday and am thirsty to get started on your next one. Thank you for not snoring away and using your gifts as a stoic virtue and helping us out.
