There was a time pharaohs were considered gods and this solar system is named after Greek gods humans are not moral because they religious but actually religious coz they moral so instead of religion the next God is the human endeavor to find self and self is y non-religious man are still moral but the replacement is social media just as church was a centre for human interaction so is social media and the church its self was flawed as it forced obedience coz of fear like a mob gangster u were shamed and judged 4 seeking any pleasure even natural pleasure like sex is frowned upon just like social media praises nudity church praised uniformity and blind obedience which led to many tragedies (you can Google those) what church could not do are great movements like me2 and create a true place were the average person could take on a giant and gain support from people who were not afraid of the system which ever form it took were someone with power would abuse it to oppress someone that seems power less hence the rise of cancel culture any missteps by those who are in power can be punished and gives the small guy a fighting chance. This of coz does not bash the church but is just to highlight the evolution which is taking place though poorly laid out.

This brings a lot of insight and perspective. It’s hard to articulate into words right even as I write this comment but at this point in my life I’m caring less and less about what people do for a living. As you explained - see past the title or the status: “who are you?” “I want to know you.” That really resonates with me. This way of thinking contributes to my lack of socializing out of work or my current friendship circle. Maybe it’s my ignorance, believing that the rest of society is superficial, only focusing on how many likes they get; but that’s not always the case. All that being said - my faith in humanity is… well, I’m very cynical so I’ll leave that to imagination of others. Felt like I was talking out my bum but this video has got the gears going. Thank you for the video 🤙🏾🤘🏾❤️🖤

bro someone fucking help me I used to not care about any of this in my early twenties, now I’m 28 and have been making all these decisions to “better” my life. Now I just miss the kid I used to be when I was feeling more lost. I was more myself, authentically, not trying to make the sales numbers and not trying to prepare for a future that doesn’t even exist, I feel so mislead man, I just tried to be smart and stop fucking off like people told me to cause I was wasting my life but now I’m not even happy 🙃 is there a middle ground? I miss that kid who was figuring it out now that I am “figuring it out “ it feels lame

This is what I've been saying for so long. Since I started to see the ugly face of this era, after all of what I've been through! This achievement society, harmed the humanity in general, by killing the good souls in people. The less someone has conscience, the more successful he is, according to their standards.

When people asking me "what are you doing?", usually they want to know what I'm doing for a living, my job, because most people identify themself with their job/work. I usually just say "I play video games, do bicycle tours and enjoy gardening." About 80% of the people responding to this with "So you are unemployed!?"

I do agree with you ! But there is a thought that constantly nags me ! Me doing things for others and external validation is not needed and one should try and understand this and become more willing to live for things that makes you happy! Once you know what that is do we now go and put all our might in that …. I mean yup a job doesn’t give me validation but if I have a purpose that I found is for me and I dont live up to it then isn’t it just me being lazy and not willing to give my all … I understand this can be next time once people realise they dont need external validation…. But also becomes equally damn important isn’t it?

Success is subjective. For me, success is learning to be as self sufficient as possible. Others may see my lifestyle as needless work or time wasted or frivilously doing nothing. But I don't need others to understand why I choose to live as I do. All I need is for me to approve of it.

That's why i try to stay away from others as much as possible. Cause nowadays the majority of people have become super materialistic, fake and shallow tryhards who strive for superficial " success " of wealth, attention and power, to mostly brag and be toxic towards others of how great they are. That's why i try to mostly avoid dealing with others, i can't stand these fake toxic tryhard behaviors.

I am the youngest of 5 children. Four of us including me ended up alcoholics. All 5 live miserable, unhappy lives. My eldest sister is divorcing her husband, they have two kids. Both miserable, frightened, anxious children, already on medication from their teenage years. Another sister, a single mother, alcoholic as well. 5yo daughter, growing up in our family house, with her grandparents. Every day they fight, scream and shout on each other. She will be traumatised as well. I am 31. I struggle mentally all my life, barely dealing with my own demons, and someone is calling me delusional and immature for not wanting to bring another miserable beings into this world? Mr. Peterson, you are an absolute asshole.

If one feels imperfect and wants to be perfect, where is that desire for perfection coming from? Obviously, from that imperfection, right? Indeed, the perfection usually sought is someone's standard or demand we've bought, and it seems to blind one's eye from seeing for itself, and so finding out that it's you alone who decides about what's perfect and what's not and why so.

For males it very much is instinctive to identify with ones proficiencies. It's not so much about "success" or "accomplishments", rather it's about skills, capability, knowledge, expertise. No civilization can exist without a lot of capable, knowledgeable, skilled, expert MEN. If we fail to value this, we will not be civilized, as in, we devolve into tribes and ever-fragmenting arbitrary groups.

I watch this quote in a game....`whats left from a man without fame, wealth, power or good appearance' The answer is virtue, said one of the character In the end what makes a good or bad person is wether he could choose and want to be a man of good will. A good person in general....maybe....

Thank you kindly Einzelgänger, you are a jewel on the internet. When I remember of the loved ones I lost in life, I never think of their status, their success or lack thereof, but of the good times we had together, the ideas we exchanged, the love and friendship. When looked at from a considerable distance, our lives must seem absurd. So damn busy perfecting our rehearsed behavior that we neglect the things that really matter. Friendships, love, spending time together.
