Did you know that the strongest structure, speaking in engineering terms, is a triangle? With three points, the load is most evenly distributed, avoiding any major points of stress. It is no surprise then, that I find our three protagonists in Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! to form a group that's just as strong. Each one provides a crucial component that achieves an overall balance that is seemingly impossible to topple. Asakusa is the creative, the one that has childlike wonder coming out of her ears. Mizusaki is the unrelenting, obsessed with the oft forgotten aspects of animation, but the ones that are all too vital, that give your work life. Finally, Kanamori is the pragmatist, the one that does the dirty work that nonetheless, makes everything able to be a reality.
Watching Eizouken, I find myself inspired to do more. Because it essentially is a road map for doing what you love.

Agh, Damn. This video...I really needed this video. I'm a writer. Or, well, I hesitate to call myself that, because I have actually written very little. But I constantly, day by day, have a pouring of ideas stirring in my head for the kinds of stories, narratives, and adventures I want to bring to life. The problem is...I'm only one part of Eizouken, I guess you could say. I suck at writing /well/, like with detail and specifics, and I suck at viewing my work with an unbiased view. I think to myself: "ugh ugh ugh it's awful I hate it why can't I be happy with the words", because I'm constantly having those "breakdowns" you mentioned happening to Asakusa. I personally haven't watched Eizouken. Beyond having a bopping OP, it just didn't interest me. But after hearing this....I think I'll watch it. I want to get better at the creative fiction writer in me, and if this anime truly is /about/ that, well....

Well, it's about anime. I don't know about writing, and there's little to no mention of writing, the storyboard is important, but there's nothing about the script. I'd recommend it to anyone despite of any reservations, I think what they're doing right could be applied to most human activity, creative or otherwise.

I came into Eizouken thinking "lol female ed edd and eddy this'll be great" and then stayed from a fellow artist/creative standpoint. Honestly been having an art block for a couple weeks now that was shattered after catching up with the show. even though i never was going to be an animator, the mechanics of how it all worked were so interesting and all the girls had such great character that fit well with each other but also stood out on their own that it's so AWESOME the relatability is off the charts

As a teenager who is still in school and spend half of the day drawing, EVERY day, Eizouken was an experience for me, i dont think its one of those that you say; "woow it changed my life", but it definitely helped me to grow a little more in these almost 2 years.

The first classic of the 2020s, let's hope we will get more when the decade goes into the second half, not like the 2010s *cough*.

I would like to recommend an anime called Sangatsu no Lion. It came in the second half of the 2010s and I believe it should be called a classic.

@@amircurgu3720 As a Shaft fan, I obviously know Sangatsu no Lion and maybe you could call it a classic, but it kind of fell to the wayside for me because it took so long to finish and the show is better watched in chunks not in weeks.

As weird and unstructured as life is now, what with the pandemic and all... I've been struggling creatively more than ever. Rules, structure and deadlines often feel unfair and stifling. But somehow, they foster the very creativity they try to reign in. I've only realized that once that structure in my life began to fade away... It sucks. But slowly I've been able to find that inner Kanamori, take action, and restore that agency. It feels way better. And watching your video gave me another wave of inspiration. Thanks :)

Dude, I can’t believe you have so little subscribers. This video was amazing and I loved every part of how it was scripted and the analysis you did of the Eizouken members and how they work individually and as a whole to complement their individual strengths. You did such a good job with this and I’m very pleased KZfaq recommended it to me!

This is a really good video. I enjoyed this quite a lot, as this is one of my favourite anime and I love how the show expresses the ideas of creativity and how each of he 3 characters added different things to each of their works in their own important ways. I think you also expressed this and more in this video. Great work!!

I-I think I just found out what I wanted to do as a child. When I was younger and wanted to work in manga, I wanted to do concept art, and specifically concept art. I wanted to be a broad ideas person. I wanted to be a director like Asakusa, I just didn’t have a name for it.

A reviewer I follow(visual novels, JRPGs, some metroidvania, etc., so not really anime) recommended this channel to me when I asked for recommendations of anime channels. I unsubscribed from a number of channels I followed so I nearly don't have anybody to inform me on whats airing(or even just what is worth watching) and thus have become distant from anime. I don't have the time to watch 1-3 episodes of 30-50 shows. The most I'll maybe watch is like 30-40 episodes per year or something(I dunno, could be less, could be more, but I'm not one of those people that binge through seasonal anime every season and will only watch a few standout shows, most recently being Ishuzoku Reviewers). Things that I unsubscribed from other people for were being too cynical, being too political, or I just wasn't a fan of the content anymore. So thanks for being what I wanted, at least from what I've seen in this video.

I'm pleasantly surprised that you came here off of a recommendation! I think you'll find that my channel is focused on lifting up the things I like rather than complaining about the things I don't. I totally get not being able to do the seasonal grind, and I'm happy you're here!

mania is not controlled madness, for me it has been quite litterally the thing that pushes me into the borderline.
@Kamimashita
@Kamimashita 4 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything regarding mental illness, of course being in a manic episode is nothing deserving of celebration. When I mentioned mania, it's in the context of what Plato wrote in "Phadrus," "In the dialogue Phaedrus Plato distinguishes four kinds of inspiration or “mania.” The word “mania” or madness signifies that which completely transcends the consciousness of the individual through whom it is operating, so that he is “not himself.” Thus anger is elsewhere spoken of as a mania or inspiration, since under its influence a man may become inspired by Mars in battle and perform deeds of superhuman strength." (shrineofwisdom.weebly.com/plato---inspirations.html). Mania has Greek etymology, and was most likely used in a far different manner than we do today.
