there are actually 2 hououin kyouma actually. the one that was able to save kurisu at the first season and the fucked up version of hououin kyouma that appeared on the phone in s1. zero is about that hououin kyouma so basically (it's not the main plot and its called connected)

@@anurag-ranjan No, they continue to exist. The whole plot of Stein's Gate 0 was that okabe receives a video message from his "failed version" - the "sad scientist", and he also gets a slap in the face from Mayuri. Thus, Okabe could not cope without the help of an "alternative" self from another world line. p.s. Anyway, both in the anime series and in the visual novel, it was repeatedly said that both alpha and beta, and numerous other lines continue to exist, just Okabe moved along them during the narrative

@@01nia There can only be one active Worldline at a time and Beta worldline is going to be replaced with Steins Gate worldline in 2036 when suzuha go back in time.

yes this is the last scene but there is a film where they meet again, it doesnt rly have a true ending and TBH i watched the anime 3 years ago so i dont rly remember lmao

There is one extra episode where Okabe confesses his love to Kurisu and tells everything about his journey, and another is a movie where Kurisu leaps back in time to save Okabe and steal his first kiss. The movie may not be considered canon but that is the true best ending.
