This obviously has to be from the Dean Martin show. Which had some funny skits. Popped up on my feed because watched an Elaine Stritch video. Love her. Ernest Borgnine was hysterical in this. They all three played it perfectly.

To a large extent, the stereotypical effeminate movements are a shorthand, one that lets the audience know why, without long explanation, the song/skit turned out the way that it did. Elaine Stritch may have sung like a bullfrog and she may have missed a few notes but the result was perfect comedy and that's what this piece was. I've seen her live « At Liberty » and she gave one hell of a performance !

I know it;s not politically correct by today's standard but, hey it's a really funny skit and I for one am not offended one bit. If we cannot find humor in our idiosyncrasy, then we are in for a rough time.

I guess, this a little gay sketch was quite sensational for the time! Is this Dean Martin at the end?

Not at all. But the gaiety had to be outwardly closeted. The two men could not smooch, for example. There were lots of performers whose personas were swishy.

Congratulations, your woke... your also a pill. I'm all for equalization and anti-homophobia but let's leave comedy alone. Comedy has to exist from a place that the viewer already knows wrong from right and we can step in any direction to have a laugh. Actually, all art should come from that place but I understand mass art has been propagandized for too long and we need to keep it in check. Still, let's just have a laugh. FYI: I am NOT using the word "woke" in a derogatory sense but purely for comedic purposes... I am NOT anti-woke at all, I'm all for it but all things have a limit. Also, I don't really know if you are a pill just joking about the tone of your comment.
