Train with 3-different Staccatos daily…… shoot them frequently for a few years now… been shooting handguns since I was 5 yoa…. Just turned 68. Love the guns and have 100% trust in them. Carried Glocks for over a decade as a S/A and still utilize some Glocks…. Great tools in the tool-box🤠Training and conditioning is the ultimate weapon.🧐🇺🇸

As far as SA type pistols for Law Enforcement and civilian concealed carry they have many attributes and as all weapons systems they have their faults. My experience training cops in force on force was that occasionally with Single Action Pistols in the clinch the safety would not be activated and the gun would not fire. I am not talking about recruits, I am talking about experienced well trained and practiced Emergency Services (SWAT) cops many of whom have been in gunfights. I didn’t happen often, but it did happen on more than one occasion. It only seemed to happen when there was a significant physical altercation during extreme close quarters combat training. Just something to be aware that occurred in my limited sample. Be conscious and train accordingly if that’s the weapons system of your choosing or if it’s your issued weapon.🇺🇸👮🏻♂️👍🏻

I've been down that road. Never with Staccatos but with CZ's and 9mm 1911's for competition and ultimately went back to Glock. I think one can be neurologically fused to a specific type of gun. It's nice to have a bag of parts at a match and be able to fix something when it goes wrong, though it's only been once for me with Glocks (too high a tension recoil spring for powder puff loads may have been swapped in a porta-potty; someone did that once, not saying it was me). Fantastic plastics are simple and reliable. Nothing wrong with that. Carry on.

I am about to receive a new 2024 Staccato C model. My initial shooting with one was flawless, absolutely superior to any of my Glocks in terms of precision accuracy. Been a Glock guy for 3+ decades and currently use a Glock 45MOS and Glock 19MOS with upgrades. My general feeling is that Glocks will handle extreme environments better but I generally reserve that assertion for Gen 1 through 4 as the Gen 5 trigger change doesn't seem to fight off elemental fouling so well. As such, I generally consider the Staccato C and Gen 5 Glocks on par with one another in EDE testing. Staccatos are excellent and premium which if you want a do-all beater gun that is proven, you can buy a few Glocks of different models and still be happy.

I agree with the XC "softening you up".....OPEN guns did that for me over the years and going back to Limited .40s was hard......its the same with 9mm Staccatos, they soften up my major caliber shooting but since no one wants to shoot Major anymore, why bother....? 😁 Im still just a Limited shooter at heart....

I usually stay with my P226 and P229 lineups because they keep my trigger discipline on check. With my 2011s/1911ds, I feel I can get sloppy and get away with it. So... I always fight on "do I switch to an easy gun or keep fighting the DA/SA mechanics. Any opinions?

Left the 1911 game for a Glock clone with a 1911 style grip. The clone is literally perfect for my hand size, is much lighter, is far easier to clean and maintain, and with a subtle built in thumb ledge is easier to shoot fast. Timney trigger with a JohnnyGlocks trigger shoe and the thing is amazing. Will I go back to the 1911, probably not.

I'm buying a copy of Adaptive Rifle and Practical Shooting Training and looking for a decent belt set up and going to start practicing dry fire with a snap cap in my M&P 2.0 until I can afford a decent red dot. I'm sure in your long history of videos you have plenty of advice for newer shooters but if you see this just know I hope to be in the next class you have in NJ if you ever make your way back out here. Also has anyone ever told you, you look like Time Heidecker? You're like a tactical Tim Heidecker.
