@@Apexapee Are you talking about the Godskin Peeler? I don’t think I’ve heard of Noble Slender. There’re so many weapons in the game. lol

The Noble's Slender Sword is a straight sword with a frustratingly low drop rate from wandering nobles. It's got great Dex scaling and it's one of the longest straight swords. Not to be confused with the Noble's Estoc, which also drops from wandering nobles and looks similar, but is a mediocre thrusting sword.

I actually miss the silence from the Souls games that isn’t present in Elden Ring; it gave the areas a unique gravity to them. Yeah I can turn it off but then I would have to reenable it in boss fights.

It's odd because square off was assigned to some greatswords in dark souls 3, and in fact also had the ability to chain the square off light into heavy

@@herbi6419 I do hope square off will be available on greatswords and similar AoW like giant hunt will have a longer range when upgraded with the new DLC system as to not be too similar

Confessor starting with square off is what makes the class great, especially in early game. In addition, Confessor starts at level 10 & pretty good health with high faith, which can be pumped to allow you to use buffs such as Howl of Shabriri, Flame Grant Me Strength, & Golden Vow. All of that is why I consider it OP; let me be clear, I don’t think it being OP is a bad thing. I do agree that other classes are very good as well, though.

Wretch is tough. I wouldn’t consider it OP as a starter class, but I’m wondering if maybe it can become the best later on as you level? Is that a thing? Cause I really don’t know much about wretch.

@@odious5317 yeah vagabond is supposedly the easiest class to start with since it comes with lots of armor too, like it’s the only class that you will fat roll once you begin and need to take off a weapon or some Armor

I concentrate better without music. I don’t keep it off for casual playthroughs, only for when I’m practicing.

Stats aside, in my opinion it’s an OP class precisely because you start off with the broadsword that has square off. Confessor treats you to a poise destroyer off rip. If you aren’t a total noob to souls you’ll cruise through earlier game with Confessor.

Seriously though, the tree sentinel is actually super easy with any starting class once you get good

while thats true, excellent play and timings. It just took two weapon arts to crack the poise, katana is like 3 unsheathes. Its like charge heavy's poise breaking capacity, ( maybe even better) w insane speed and numbers. I didnt know its that good. Then it costs so little to perform it

Square off R2 does 40 stance damage, same as a fully charged great hammer R2, and only slightly less than the highest stance damage of any single attack, the hammer subdivision of collosals at 45 (but is much faster). 40 is an important threshold for stance damage, because any less and it takes 3+ attacks to break bosses instead of 2 since most bosses have 80, some 120. Unsheathe R2 does 30. Tree Sentinel has 80 stance. So two quick square offs will break them. 120 is the highest of stance of any boss if I recall correctly. So three quick square offs can break dragons, Radahn, etc. Square off stance damage is OP given it's dirt cheap, but square off and would be weak without it so it's kinda fine.

Sure, but you cannot overlook the damage dealt & stagger potential of square off, which comes with the broadsword as a starting weapon for the Confessor class.

The ash of war that comes with the Broadsword for Confessor breaks stances like nobody’s business. Deals good damage, too. 🤙

Depends on what weapons/setup you want to use. But really, the difference class makes is so marginal it's not worth fussing over unless you're in a knife edge community pvp duel ladder, despite what Reddit and KZfaq comments would have you believe. A little more knowledge, skill, and strategy wins out against 10 stat points every single time, for PvE as well.

@@odious5317 Fair, but like I said confessor is almost never the optimal class to start and actually really does not have that good of equipment start with tbh as Vagabond or Samurai easily have the best starting equipment.

I just wanted to be a little trolly with my sarcastic comment. Also, have fun in dlc in a few days if you are playing that and if not have a good day anyways.
