Japan also has it's own lion dance called "shishimai" hence the name of the boss. and the lion head design also close to shishimai with longer jaws and ashen brown furs

Peko's doing pretty good actually. Most people struggled on that lion for hours and she did it solo, in less than an hour.

solo is actually easier than with help tbh, it gets a stupid health boost when more than 1 person is present

I agree it's easier solo. The Lion has like 300 different attacks, half of which are AoE, so being hyper aggressive and killing it ASAP is easier than actually learning all of its moves

Thats normal for lions claw/ heavy weapon heavies. Most bosses only have 100-150 stance and Lions Claw does like 40 stance damage @@chadnarukami1942

My character is an int/faith caster with no melee capabilities, so I had to run and dodge until he finally pulls out the crossbow so I can run away and spam triple rings of light, it was horrifically slow.

@@SilverNightbane I finally beat him like 30 minutes ago lol. I'm Faith/Dex and Vyke's War Spear is a godsend against human enemies thanks to the Madness it inflicts. Three L2s of the spear, one L2 of my Black Knife every so often and I was finally able to crush the guy. Plus I gave myself like two faith buffs and drank my physick with the protection bubble.

I think pekora is the fastest to beat dancing lion boss than any other holo member for now, i saw biboo , noel and koyo struggling on that boss longer than pekora

Well DLC is definitely not easy as original game, its harder so even 600+ levels dying really fast

It has its own levelling system so if you don't engage with that there's not that much of a difference between Lv100 and Lv600.

@@HanabiraKage This is true. Already defeated Messmer at lvl 160 and that black gaol solitude knight at around 130ish. The Scadutree blessings help a ton.

The boss difficulty is brutal in the DLC. But the world enemies are...kind of easy compared to base game. I don't know, I felt like something was off with the scaling. I was one-shotting most non-bosses then have to hit a boss hundreds of time to get them to half health. But Messmer fell over to like four bleed procs?

Dude am I missing something? The minions feel unkillable; they have like 10k hp, random soldiers can survive 3 backstabs, infinite poise (those dagger mfs in the library) and I’m using +24 godskin peeler. I’m also +5 on scadutree levels but I just don’t know… and am running around like all enemies 😢

@@ethantam2804 Blessing goes to 20, you get blessing 5 in the starter area of the DLC if you explore. You probably need to explore more

the wicker man requires at least 1 crit hit when it falls down, with the weak spot being on the "mask" that functions as its face. this will remove half of his hp

its the go-to in PvP for a reason, and so against human-like enemies its busted when you can stagger them with it. not the best in PvE against big enemies cause it's so slow and the recovery is long af

As with the rest of er it's as hard as you make it. Getting levels items weapons etc is important, in the case of the dlc you also need to get the new strengthening items. Sure there are many enemies with entirely new move sets and mechanics but those are less important if they don't do as much damage to you. Gotta remember that the whole area is not intended to be an early game place too. For me who was basically leveled enough and geared enough to go fight the final boss and clear the game going to the dlc area and looking for those items I beat the lion head got in one try.

Your level means nothing in the dlc since the enemies scale with you instead of having a set level like in the base game. It’s better to get the scadutree items than it is to level up. Especially if you are a high level character.

@@darkknight1069 correct but you still have stat requirements to use certain weapons you need to meet also things like hp equip load stamina and mind still matter a lot too. but main thing is items summon ashes and stuff that does not directly affect your damage.

Ive seen so many people crying and even leaving bad reviews because they boss rushed and didnt farm blessing levels, the bosses are no harder than anything the base game has and are even easier if you over level your blessing.

considering she still have the room to not use any in-game summons and Spirit Summoning, no, the game is in fact not too hard for her. Not even close, she is playing it with self-imposed handicap.
