Elden Ring - Patches & Dancer's Castanets

Patches can be found in The Shaded Castle just before the area boss AFTER beating Rykard in Volcano Manor. This will only work if you have spoken to Patches in his cave prior to killing Rykard.

Hes still alive after i got the castanets i went back to murkwater cave and it had the same fight just like when you first meet him but this time he recognizes you

this quest stuck in that castanets, they should update the questline again in future patch

I gave Tanith the castanets after Rykard was killed at the site of grace. She said she didn't want them. I accidentally swung my sword and she disappeared, and her knight was summoned. I killed him and it gave a crucible incantation and then I was able to loot her body for her armor set

I have an odd theory that perhaps going forward, since Patches continues this quest line.. each new patch will add a new portion to the quest line. Perhaps up until DLC? Who knows.

@@nibuin I think so too. I've had a few questlines glitch out due to progression and also due to late patches too (no pun intended), but I think we should see more with this down the line

I killed Tanith the moment I caught her eating that dogshit. I got the Dancer’s Castanets after the fact. Kinda satisfying to know that Patches died simping for a woman who had been dead for weeks. Sad to find out that she was going to kick him to the curb anyway. Maiden-less.

Patches didn't die there, he can still be seen breathing. He just waits for you to go away

Patches might be faking his death. You should return to Murkwater cave to find him very much alive and kicking.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the last spot for the npc’s just hasn’t been found or if it’s added later in a patch as they’ve done already. I’m very curious about this one though lol.

Try to return to patches first location (Murkwater Cave), after he disappears from Shaded Castle

I think it has something to do with doing the volcano manor questline after killing the boss in that area but idk

Not possible sadly because patches wont leave the manor until after rykard is dead.

@@kooltube100 thats a good idea ive never tried. But I'm pretty sure since it's a quest item, it may reset on ng+. But it's worth a try!

ya gonna miss out on all the great stuff he's gonna sell later on. just like in dark souls. pretty useful stuff too. but i do understand that he's a dick
