Yo bro, great vid!!!! Helping me out in 2024! Defo earned the like and sub 🫡

I know you’re using it in the video, but I just want to say that I had a MUCH easier time using Golden Parry than normal Parry to do this, so it’s definitely worth seeking out that Ash of War in the Capitol Outskirts if you don’t have it already. As someone who doesn’t parry much ordinarily, it seems to have a much more generous window.
@nibuin10 күн бұрын
absolutely, I have to admit that I am horrific with normal parry timing - but golden parry almost feels like cheating under most circumstances. definitely suggest running that against this lot.

What's with the weird title? Are they trying to copy Nier?
@nibuin2 ай бұрын
The developer of the game has mentioned the game has far more Nomura (Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts) inspiration than that of Yoko Taro (NieR/Drakengard). Though I can't deny that I can see a lot of Yoko Taro inspiration myself.

It is incredible to see this video continuously gaining traction. To me, that means Bloodborne is still actively played - even if not equally the player count when the DLC released. Glad the video can continue to help people as it nears a decade later. Here’s hoping I have the time to do the same type of videos for Shadow of the Erdtree’s release in June. I’ve long accepted that Sony will not give us a remaster nor a remake of this game and certainly will not release it on PC for all my fellow PC gamers, but perhaps Miyazaki will become a rogue agent one day and just release it without letting them know, right? I wanted to mention that it was hard to get the point across and I certainly forgot to include key details such as how to get the staircase there to access said area in the first place primarily because I was but a young lad who wanted to help people out, coincidentally at 5 in the morning on a school night. Sorry!

I think trying to recapture what Neir introduced, but Automata perfected is a mistake. You don't want to place yourself on a pedestal next to a god, because you're inviting folks to draw comparison, and standing next to a god you're bound to come across as entirely inferior to a point where even the things done well come across as derivative, or maybe aren't given the attention they should. This doesn't look bad, but the devs should have set out to distinguish itself from Neir Automata, rather than leaning into being a lesser title majorly inspired by N.A. Because this feels like every Yoko Taro game combined by a super-fan rather than it's own thing. You see this in film school a lot. Where a student will be SO HEAVILY INSPIRED BY a specific director that everything they do comes across as someone trying to recreate elements of that director's style to the point where their own voice is non-existent... or muddled. We'll have to wait to see more, but I'm not on-board right now.

I was quite surprised from the trailers alone how much it felt like a full-on fan-made DrakenNier game. One character quite literally resembles Zero from Drakengard 3, after all. The gameplay (specifically the combat) certainly feels similar to the NieR games, give or take a few things. The combat effects, primarily the red ghost left behind during certain actions, remind me of the Engine Blade that you could also acquire in Automata. I suppose if the goal was to release a game that "can" compete with DrakenNier games, it's trying its best to do so. As a fan of these types of games I have to admit I enjoyed the demo itself, for what it's worth. I am hoping the developer tries to branch away from the NieR aesthetic they are going for before fully releasing this game, and making it their own. From my understanding via the email I received the developer claimed the game is intended to have endings that are not like in NieR, but more-so like Virtue's Last Reward or Stein's Gate. Whether that is the only thing intended to stray away from the NieR / Drakengard similarities is beyond me right now. I would have to agree right now the majority of the game feels like a Yoko Taro fan-made game with steampunk aspects to try and cloud off how the game will be perceived. TLDR; demo was fun (I encountered very few bugs and little to no performance problems), combat is very satisfying and smooth, music was very nice to listen to, game currently feels like a fan-made DrakenNier game (this could be ok if intentional). I look forward to seeing what's to come before the release, but for now that is my stance on the game.

I respect your opinion, but I dont think NieR automata is a “GOD”, don’t get me wrong I love yoko taro’s work, but imo Nier Automata is far from perfect (and I actually PREFER Nier replicant)… I don’t really understand… what are we comparing here? Visuals, music, narrative? The visuals of AIKODE are really different (and from a technical point of view it’s better thanks to the actual engine - UE5), the music? Is completely different, I would even say the narrative is different, even how the cutscenes are directed (you can even see this in the last cutscene how the music syncs with each shot)… also, if we talk about story, this is not trying to mimic NA, it’s actually closer to steins gate or virtue’s last reward, and even so… saying this is just Nier or yoko taro’s work mixed up is illogical… a lot of this demo looks more “nomura” than yoko taro… and a lot of other games too… the guitar minigame is the last of us, the HUD looks more persona “scifi” than Nier, the visuals are final fantasy, the music final fantasy or kingdom hearts, the sector F area looks more gravity rush than nier, Schrödinger town more like altissia from ffxv or scala from kh, Shibuya is literally Shibuya, Kingdom of decay is more similar to Anthem… even the flying mechanic are like Anthem… and a lot of characters look more FF13 than Nier (and even when they are “Nier type”, like Aiko, you can see FF13 Elements on them)… tbh, even the color correction is nothing like Nier (nier looks much much much more less contrasted and desaturated)… yeah sure, it has gameplay elements from NA… but AIKODE takes stuff from a lot of other games (what I took from Nier Automata was part of the movement and part of the combat… but that’s it) I don’t care about comparisons tbh, the final game is not Nier, and people will understand this when they play the final game.
@AIKODE4 ай бұрын
Also, in this case I can assure you comparisons don’t hurt, they help… the main reason why AIKODE is getting more popular and more “loved” is because of the Nier comparisons, so I embrace that… most DrakeNier fans are awesome, and they support stuff inspired but the stuff they like, especially when it’s done right, even Yoko taro tweeted about AIKODE… and I can only be grateful… most of this happened because I decided to “lean this close to nier”… and imo it was the best think I could have done as a solo developer… not only because I love Nier and Yoko taro’s work, but because getting “popular” in this industry as a solo dev is harder than you think… Creating a game has a lot of layers, and even if i did the most original product, if no one knows about it, it DOESN’T exist. (The fact that you are here or other people are here is proving my point) And again, I love Yoko taro’s work, but is not my only inspiration, because i love other directors and games too, as i’ve said, like Nomura’s work, FF13 Saga, persona, yakuza, gravity rush, etc… this game is trying to recapture the 2000s RPG era with modern graphics, not Nier.

It’s worth mentioning that I followed the main demo path and not so much the additional parts. I killed the cats but did not show off what happens post-reset, and I did not rest on the bench a second time to show what happens. If this is something people are interested in seeing, I will gladly upload a longer playthrough. Next time I will upload a no-hit run against the puppet along with it.

Bare with me - it's been a while since I've played Bloodborne. I believe the outfit is.. Head Attire - Yamamura Hunter Hat Chest Attire - Old Hunter Garb Gloves - Gascoigne's Gloves OR Old Hunter Arm bands Pants/Shoes - Bloodied Trousers The majority of these you can acquire from the Old Hunter's DLC. If you would like help finding the attire check below but be warned spoilers ahead: Yamamura Hunter Hat - Can be obtained by killing Old Hunter Yamamura after opening his cell with the Underground Cell Key from the Research Hall. Other methods of obtaining it need testing. Gascoigne's Gloves - Sold by the Insight Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream for 1 Insight after killing Father Gascoigne. Bloodied Trousers - Fishing Hamlet: Defeat Brador as an invader in the underground caverns. Old Hunter Set - The Hunter's Nightmare: Advance up the Grand Cathedral staircase, you will come across a large group of beast patients. Dodge to the side to avoid a flaming boulder which should take care of some if not most of the enemies. After this go to a ledge on the left where the Old Hunter Garb is resting on a body. Sorry for the late response - my activity on this channel is rather spontaneous.
