bruh the phase two transition and the OST change with the magic wings coming out had to be the coolest moment I’ve ever experienced in a video game 😭I couldn’t even continue to fight after just watched in awe as he flew up and killed me with the fireballs

Midir is badass in the way a wounded beast that is cornered and willing to fight to the death. Bayle however badass because he is one of the oldest, vilest, dragons still around. He fought on equal footing with a prime Placidusax and both heavily wounded each other. Basically Bayle is the dragon equivalent of the saying "beware an old man in a field where men die young".

Midir was a fight of endurance, not hardship, Bayle takes less time to get killed even though he does resemble Midir in terms of fight design.

Just forget about ancient dragons. I think it's the combinaison of utmost stance resistance combined with small legs for a very high body, but the fight against them is so frustrating imo. Perhaps a mage build has more fun, if someone is using magic and would like to share his opinion perhaps ?

@@matheusst.3655 definitely not undisputedly. I see a ton of people who still prefer midir and for good reason. Bayle is deadass one spot behind midir if i were to make a tier list, but its because midir actually moves his head back down for you to have time to hit him after each combo, instead of moving all over the place and never giving consistent punish windows. He also just looks cleaner and i'm glad he doesnt have shitty tracking lightning like every elden ring dragon boss

Level: 150 Vigor: 50 Mind: 25 Endurance: 18 Strength: 20 Dexterity: 40 Intelligence:9 Faith: 60 Arcane: 7 Talismans: Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, Flock's Canvas Talisman, and Lightning Scorpion Charm Weapons: Bolt of Gransax, Gravel Stone Seal You could go 80 faith, Erdtree Seal, and replace Shard of Alexander with Ritual Sword Talisman if you want to just purely go for ancient dragon lightning strikes but I have 20 strength, 40 dex, and Shard because i wanted to use Bolt of Gransax. Also I don't know when it's intended to fight him but I think my Scadutree Blessing was around 15-18 when I fought him.

What can I tell you, Bayle took me 6 tries while Senessax took me more than 20 until I gave up and just did hit and run with torrent

I had the same experience Bayle was a piece of work for sure though. Sanseax was a hell of a problem because of the water in the area creating those ripple effect AoE's. Torrent hit and run was basically the only viable option without memorizing every single AI action sequence

Same here. That AOE delay was so annoying. Plus I feel like ancient dragons are just harder to hit in general with the long necks and skinny bodies

Were they that cool ? I beat both, but Gaius did hit a nerve or two with his...not appreciable hyppo let's say. Other moves were at most ok I think, I don't remember anything super fancy from him. Death knights are cool too but again, nothing that memorable I think ? Did certain attacks caught you attention perhaps or am I missing something ?
