Elder Scrolls: Oblivion No mods and no fuss, this is as vanilla as it gets. We're starting a new life in Cyrodiil and we get to meet the Emperor on our first day! Maybe Prison isn't the best place for this...

I thought the art of old fashioned let's plays was dead. Long live the let's play! (subbed)

I don't know if it ever told you this explicitly, but your odds of harvesting ingredients successfully rise as you get better in the skill

It's great to see content creators still giving this game some love! I'm subbed so I can watch the rest of this series

what is hysterical is that I am sure Patrick Stewart has absolutely no memory of doing this, he probably threw it out in an afternoon

you can only hit the lock pick into position when the tumbler pauses at the top I believe. It makes a different sound, some people close their eyes

Ahhh, grabbing all the robes that are worth 0. I guess you really are new to Oblivion. How wholesome.
@Parkerton24 күн бұрын
Those robes got me! Not worth a single thing. The silver lining here is how confused someone is going to be at the trail of stripped guys ending at another guy just buried under a pile of robes!

@@Parkerton I remember hoarding those robes until I was over encumbered, thinking I was smart 😂 weight to value ratio is something you gotta learn fast haha

"They're all novice" yes, that's because you didn't sneak run into the corner while casting heal for 3 hours, before triggering the dialogue from Valen Dreth :')

My whole leveling goal is going to be to not screw up too much. That's really it!

@@Parkerton training sneak and restoration like that isn't really the play anyway, most of the time 😂 I just remember we used to do that back in the days. A friend of me taped his movement stick on his x-box controller to train sneak before starting a new game haha

Oh man, that brings back ps2 memories: putting a rubber band around the stick.

the oblivion slider is a monster factory, it's absolutely wild. Do you like tips and lore or no?

Yeah man, do it to it. Eatmywords explained the leveling for me or I wouldn't have a clue about it!

You need a full face helmet to play this game. That potato head is just too distracting.

i find levelling much more interesting in these earlier games; easy to do but difficult to master. to obtain the maximum x5 attribute points, you need to improve your attribute skill x5 inside the levelling period. so, if you are focussing on magic, you'll want to focus on willpower and intelligence, so you'll need to improve your skills in those 3 areas. however, the tricky bit is trying to avoid over-levelling so you waste those attribute points. it's very easy to level a few times in the early part of the game, and lose a lot of attribute points. this is done by focussing too much on one attribute skill, such as destruction. this might be one of your major skills, and if so, if you level your major skill 5 times (or more) then you over over-levelling this skill, which also contributes to levelling-up. what you want to do is try to spread your levelling out in the class, so destruction is the willpower attribute, so try to spread out your levelling between destruction, restoration and alteration. be aware however, willpower is magic resistance, and has no effect on magic points or power. this makes the game much more immersive in my opinion, because you're just not focussed on killing, and instead needs a bit of thought and patience to efficiently level.

Alright, sweet. It makes more sense now. Now let's see if I can keep it in mind while charging recklessly through this game!
