When SEBI brings stringent disclosures in their financial statements for corporates, why SEBI did not react strongly to Electoral Bond without any disclosures? Such non disclosures amount to threat to stakeholders' democracy

The concept of Electoral Bond is itself and amount to open corruption from subscribers particularly Corporate through legal means. Those who thought of it should be given more appreciation and award legalizing the illegal donation.

Purchaser of bearer electoral bonds and doner may be two different identity which is known to the receiver only A---------B---------C A -Purchaser B -Doner C -poletical party, receiver of bonds , may be against certain benefits transfer to B

Transparency has been compromised. (1) Any company should not be allowed to purchase electoral bonds more than 7.5% of its profit each financial year. (2) Voter should know about doner and recevier of these contribution and tax benefits earned by doner company.

Electoral bonds turns democratic govt into crony capitalism govt. Crony capitalists choice prevails over voters, purpose of elections gets defeated. Corruption starts even before formation of govt. Amounts to betting like in cricket, which party wins. Donate now and get favours in multifold later. Undisclosed money is black money. Why citizens to disclose their income.

Brilliant argument from both sides . Some more facts : >Till date around 10000 crore has been spent through bonds . >BJP has received around 57% of bond. >BJP received around 5700 crore. The lawyers could say ? Based on the given data it clearly shows that one party or party in power is given special privileges as in : Knowing who donated money Getting more money based on data above. Thus it violates section C of People Act, 1951

No doubt electrol bond should be struck down. There should be a level playing field for all political parties with electrol bond that is not the case at all.

Very nice articulation and expression in the narration... Giving emotion to the otherwise monotonous rendering of facts... Now, the electoral bond "scheme" needs to be done away with given the fact that politics has become a 'business' instead of it being a service... We need transparency at any cost ! Privacy of Doner is more important than Voter's right to know...voter's right can't infringe doner's right ..talking about opacity , What about the collegium system ?

Doner is not giving money to charity.. They are funding political parties.. so here the privacy of donor is not/never more important than the citizens right to know the source of funding the parties get, as they are the one who vote them to power..
