Hammeh is the best guy for Overwatch lore, he has a complete timeline of the story so far, it’s nearly 2 hours long but it’s really well made!

Remember the cinematic where tracer and Winston fought widow and reaper in a museum with the 2 kids, the lil kid legit said "remember how they were all fighting and Winston beat him. And was like PRIMAL PUNCH"

Doomfist use to be a huge threat. in OW2 he is just ok. I feel that when Doomfist blocks attacks to charge his gauntlet his next charged punch should 1 shot.

so just to explain because the videos don't use it: ana didn't shoot widow because they were close, widow was married to a french OW agent, she got kidnapped by Talon and brainwashed, after being "rescued" by overwatch she killed her husband and fled back to talon where she got her body altered and her heart beat slowed down which is why her skin is blue

You're gonna see Uprising, Retribution, and Storm Rising in these origin stories. All of these are for the yearly pve missions called "archives" that you play through. The cutscenes you will watch are simply what is shown at beginning and end of these missions

Ill drop come context from watching all of these when they were current: The tracer origin story at the start isnt actually on the official youtube channel for overwatch, to the best of my knowledge anyways, so it might be a recording from blizzcon way back when or something similar. BECAUSE of that, the first origin story is really soldiers, which was a big deal because it showed us who was part of the original overwatch strike force deployed against the first omnic crisis The "origin story" for junkrat and roadhog also included a site you could respond to via email, which gave back a fairly standard response to anyone who did so. There was also a huge ARG surrounding sombra's release, involving ingame things on the dorado map, bastion speaking in morse code, codes hidden in the ana origin video, and several other things. It was such a convoluted ARG Doomfist was one of the heros people really really wanted in the game, ever since he was mentioned in the original cinematic. The super anime fight between him and winston was nice to see, even if only for a moment, and really sells just how strong doomfist and winston are in pure physical power And the kings row origin was the intro thing for the first archives event, which at the time was just called "Overwatch: Uprising". The event should cycle back in the game when the archives event is up, so you can play it yourself and see

There is so much lore to disguise about Overwatch, though a veteran player I consider myself, and realize the flaws and terrible actions of the devs and choices But READ THE COMICS PLEASE, their so filled with so much fun things about each character Like Cassidy and Sombra having a rivalry(he’s trying to find her and she always slips away) The Identity of widowmaker and how she became who she is(has to do with torture and mind manipulation) The comics were how tracer was confirmed gay as she has a girlfriend Sombras identity when she tries harassing Zarya Even junk rat and road hog actually trying to be super hero’s global after trying to get their plan on blowing up the queen Even reapers family and more insight of Doomfists plans(in case you didn’t really know Doom is the main antagonist being the leader of talon, starting plans, recruiting Moria, Reaper, Los Mutertos, Ramattra/Null sector, the onmic extremist group taking omnic rights by force Maximillian their omnic dealer that budgets them, and many more The lore is so fun to learn about I recommend watching those “history of overwatch lore” timeline videos

Doom fist was busted in overwatch 1

15:12 yeah. you didn't play OW1 he was easily considered by everyone in low elo to be the most overpowered hero. this is why I'm yet to install OW2 even though I was a huge OW fan from the start.

Being their main known members Doomfist, Widowmaker, Reaper, Moira, Sombra, Sigma, and know in next week Ramattra the leader of Null sector.

I'm sure you haven't noticed since you're new, but they did a major overhaul to Orisa's personality in OW2. She used to be a sweet, mother-like figure, but now she's more of a war machine ready to destroy any villainous presence in her path lol
