It has nothing to do with 'cancel culture' and no one forced them to change their name. They found out that 'eskimo' is a slur- which it is. It actually upset them and they felt that it would be wrong to continue using that name and changing it was simply the right thing to do. And they've since said that Electric Callboy is much more in line with the music they put out.
