Found a lot of mistakes in your video. 1) You took the variable price for electricity but not for petrol, petrol will cost more in future 2) As more electric cars come into the market the price of the battery will decrease (Hence after 8 years you might not need to give 4-5 lakh to change the battery) 3) You don't need to change the whole battery after 8 years, some cells might die (Or stop producing efficient electricity) you'll replace those. 4) In some major city there are some govt subsidies that can cut your cost and help you in tax deduction. 5) EVs are meant to be for people who commute inside the city, Yes the range for long rides will not be there but for the city, it is the best option. The only con I can see is the range and I won't suggest EV to someone who goes for a long trip, but if your commute is 100-150km daily (Office-home or something) Ev will save you a lot of money.

You don't need to change whole battery. You can change just the low voltage cells and still get good mileage. And that won't cost 40% of car cost.

You forget to mention state and central subsidy with subsidy nexon ev"s on road price is less than 13 lakh. As charging stations are increasing I can go long drive also. In petrol and diesel maintenance and repair start after 5 year and it is huge cost to ownership. There will be cheaper batteries in near future and company offers buy back offer for old batteries so your prediction about 5lakh battery cost is almost indigestible. Also electricity charges varies from Rs 3.5 to 10. Depending upon consumption. Please consider these point and then compare.

It will save so much money to you. Nexon XMA is 11.5L on road and EV XM is 15.5L without Subsidies. You will recover that 4L in under one and a half year. And save atleast 20k every month then on

Insurance cost, subsidy , performance, silence cabin. Ye v EV ko support karti h. Don't forget as it becomes potent option in future battery will become more economical and slight glitch regarding that will also diminish from mind.

You missed to factor in inflation. Petrol prices will more than double in another couple of years. However, with rapid technological developments clean energy charges ar going to go down. So the price difference even within 5 years is going to be in favour of EVs. There will be resale value after 5 years only if there is demand for petrol vehicles then. If EVs start hitting a practical range of 500kms(Even 250 - 300kms with full load and AC on highways at 70 to 80 kmph) per charge ICE vehicles are going to be history. Future belongs to EVs.

There will be similar to opec in regards to rare material producing countries. Let’s not be fooled unless battery technology improves and the cost drastically comes down- it’s a novelty. Simple accident will set you back with EVs. There’s more to cost comparison

You have good idea, but note that, there are 1000 nos of spare parts in a engine and obviously maintenance also there like nut, bolt, washer, clutch, lubricants, block, head, piston, etc etc whereas in EV zero, I think if anyone will open a RD in Bank @ 2000 per month, then he will be the happiest person. Finally I think that the cost of battery etc will be more less in the year 2030 like incoming outgoing cost of mobile

160000 km ki warranty hai, full life nahin. Kisi bhi vastu ki life warranty se kai zyada hoti hai. Yeh min 2 lac km tak chal hi jayegi. Chevy Volt batteries have lasted for more than that and GM estimates only about 10% to 30% reduction in capacity after 160000 kms. When you sell your batteries, you will get exchange value for it because the battery is still good for many other applications. Also cost of batteries will be much less after 3-4 years. Battery cost has fallen by 98% in last 30 years. It will continue to fall further. Only if the petrol ar is used with CNG then it will come out as real winner in terms of usage cost.

EV ही best है Future के लिए Bcoz आप ने calculation पेट्रोल की Rate 100/Liter पर की है, लेकिन आज की date में ही जयपुर में पेट्रोल 108.09 ₹ / Liter है, future मे पेट्रोल की Price और बड़ेगी पेट्रोल का केवल एक ही Source है वो है प्राकृतिक, लेकिन Electricity के future में बहुत source होंगे like Solar, पवन ऊर्जा, परमाणु ऊर्जा, जल ऊर्जा etc, आज से 20 साल पहले के पेट्रोल & Electricity की price क्या थी, और आज के time के हिसाब से कौन महंगा हुआ है आप खुद ही समझ जावोगे की आज से 20 साल के बाद पेट्रोल महंगा होगा या फिर बिजली

Please don't misguide viewer. whole Battery does not need to change. It has module technology. Even if you see range gets degrade you can remove bad cells and change it with new. No need to change whole battery. overall cost is very very less for this. I see cars have more than 1lakh mile with hardly 10% battery degradation. Its our nation's car and proud to be part of that. Lets celebrate green revolution and work more on EV infra so we can do more out of city trips. Cant wait for made in India cool technology is coming. We all of us should support it. I appreciate you video and hardwork. Bring more awareness among people and encourage them to buy our " Made in india" cars.

I BOUGHT A NEXON EV THREE MONTHS BACK MID VARIANT ON-ROAD PRICE ALONG WITH INSURANCE ID 165000 INSURANCE COST IS 59000. IN YOUR CALCULATION CONSIDER RISE IN PETROL RATE AND THERE IS SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION OF BATTERY COST BY UP-GRADATION OF TECHNOLOGY AND SIMILAR UPGRADE IN TECHNOLOGY MIGHT NOT POSSIBLE IN PETROL VERSION. THE TAX BENEFITS AND SUBSIDE NEED TO BE TAKEN IN TO CONSIDERATION

You can compare an EV only with your usage. If you use a diesel+maintainence for 5yrs comes far less than the price of EV it is not recommended. Comfort and initial torque is a criteria with very silent cabin is your choice EV can go way far ahead of it ICE competitors. I prefer EV for its sheer performance and silent cabin for its price for a drive of 180km a day.

Correction , if you took vehicle loan nexon ev will be cheaper considering increasing petrol price everyday, now @106. Also one more important point here to consider if you're daily running is more than 60 KM a day, then you go for nexon ev,otherwise Petro will be better on costing wise.

At the end of life an EV car will be more valuable compared to ICE car because even the dead EV battery will have raw materials that can be recovered again to build new batteries.

not possible, Lithium battery are not recyclable. your old mobile battery has Li-ion nobody can buy to recycle.

@Kanha Yadav zaruri nahi ki battery kharab hi hogi 8 saal baad normally ek battery 12 se 15 saal chalti h or battery fault hone par puri battery change nahi hoti kyuki choti choti bahut sari batteries connected hoti h or jo faulty ho wo hi choti battery change hoti h kam kharche me so go for ev it will give u instance pickup automatic car se b bahut badiya feel and most important u will contribute to save earth for ur children

Off course future is EVs but not now specifically if you drive out of city frequently. My assessment is to buy petrol or best CNG for now.. having Rs. 2 per km compared to 1 on on Ev's ... Later we may have kits to change petrol to ev in cost of battery replacement... Since battery production in india is just started.

5 sal me petrol 150 rupey ho jayega aur battery ke prices continually ghat rahe hain Aur batry warranty 150000 km hai Na ki only 8 years Life isase jyada ho sakti hai may be 10 to 12 years And most importantly jab apko daily ke petrol par paise kharch nahi karna padte hain to Ghumna stress free rehta hai

Sir, I like EV cars . Your have compaired EV and petrol Diesel Carse and told Petrol Diesel Cares are low cost. But you just taken in to consideration the present petrol rate but it would be 300 per liters in next 8 yrs.on the other hand ✋, We can generate electricity free by means of Gober gas , by setting Sun panell on house top etc. Hence no charging cost required and also Government providing 1.5 lacks Subsidy and 1.5 lakhs Tax rebate to employees or tax payers that means 3 lakhas present saving you are not taken into consideration and most important is EV cars has no expirey even after 10 or 15 years of purchase. So, you tell me which car is Low in cost. Please Try to motivate peoples to buy only EV cars because , it's Save us and our planet Earth from Environmental pollution and this one is a most important thing for us for better future and that's why ? Govt also promoting us to use, more and more peoples EV cars.

You need to ask after 8 years because price will vary now and then. And even after 8 years you don't need to change the whole battery. You can just change the low voltage cells or modules and it won't cost that much.

Are bhai after 8yrs or 1.6 lkh km..the warranty gets over. May be battery need to be replaced. The new battery cost is around 5 to 6 lakh . So while calculating per km cost that factor should consider

It all depends on km driven on daily basis. U take an example of 75000km in 5 years. I take my example. My daily running from my home to office is 98km updown. It means my running distance in 5 years is 156000 km. So calculation varies with the distance covered.

Few factors that are missed.. 1. After 5 years - those extra 4 lac will cause loss of interest of 1 lac. So car ownership of ev will be 1 lac more. 2. Prices of both petrol and electricity will rise. 3. Pollution from manufacturing batteries and pollution from production of electricity from coal etc matches the pollution from running petrol cars upto 1 lac km. Only after that ev becomes enviornment friendly. But then one will need a new battery. So EVs are neither cheap, nor enviornment friendly for all practical purpose.

Without going into this much calculation, the simple comparison would draw only two plausible conclusions: 1. If you live in a city or in towns nearby cities/ you drive daily for upto max 250 km/ you go for long trips max 4-5 times a year (that too to the city locations, not in remote areas or villages) - EV is the good option for you! 2. If you live in towns or villages far from cities/ you live in a remote places like hilly areas/ your annual running is not more than 8000-10000 kms/ your one go trip distance is more than 400-500 kms/ you go for long trips more often like minimum 15-20 times a year and more highway run is involved - Petrol/Diesel is the wiser option for you! This conclusion is based on current scenario. Because in a country like ours, it would take minimum 4-5 years for people to start shifting to these new technologies as it takes time for the development of required infrastructure. Also, in the coming years technology will definitely improve. So, the range will increase and prices will go down. On the other hand, Bio-fuels will also come in picture. Due to this, it might happen that fuel price would also come down in the future as the grade of fuels (especially petrol quality) will enhance and more refined engines will enter the market. It's just an opinion! And opinions vary person to person!

Compare with cng. It will be cheapest. Also need to calculate the initial excess money which can be invested in atleast fixed deposit , mutual funds.etc.. Also should consider emi cost and monthly excess expenditure from this..

My friend after 5 years EV will sell at a higher price when compared to petrol and diesel cars. After 5 years EVs will rule the roads. I believe it is not wise to purchase expensive petrol and diesel cars. For the time being one can buy cheaper cars maybe from the second hand market. Wait till EVs gradually penetrate the market.

Talking about warranty of battery after 8 years, what about on normal ICE cars, how much warranty does those have on engines etc. And who bears the cost once the engine breaks down after warranty. Impractical video.

There are many factors you didn't considered in your video, some of them are already mentioned in various comments here... Factor of psychology is not considered by you.. When one gets 6 times lesser cost per km of driving of EV, he'll naturally drive his car for much more distance compared to any petrol diesel cars in the stipulated time frame of comparison.. It'll reduce overall cost of ownership per km of EV compared to petrol cars..

It's like Solar installation panel, you don't care about how much AC or any electrical appliances you are using and become liberal in electricity spending. Infact I own an EV 2 wheeler and never bothered of how much I am driving and fuel cost which is opposite to driving ICE.

i. Admin drive both an electri car back to back a petrol car. You will feel the difference. Comfort of driving an electric car for 5 years is incomparable to Petrol (ICE) car. ii. Also Battery is not changed 100%, it's just the Change of few cells iii. You must emphasis the last point , 3 years are free after 5 years, but you didn't. iv. What about tyre costing? EVs drive long on a pair of tyre compare to ICE engines. Include the cost also? v. As battery chemistry is available day by day, due to scale of manufacturing, cost of battery wil go down who's is not the case with petrol price. 100 rs won't be fix it will increase day by day. It's a Baised video to ICE. 250 km per day is a great range. Daily commuters won't need more then this range.

Battery pack has cooling system, voltage regulators, rectifiers and misc components, which are not cheap. For a 6 lac battery, you can exchange it for 1 lac in the worst case, if the battery has atleast 50% of the capacity.

If money is the only decision factor then CNG will beat EV hands down. But gearless drive, cabin quietness and superb acceleration of EV are some differentiators on which one cannot do purely financial comparison. Range is also smooth point because one takes a break after every 150-200 kms on long journeys, unless you are in hurry. If EV charging stations become available in future then that is not a problem. But you are correct in saying that EVs are not for money minded middle class person.
